It's a small coffee house in the middle of Palermo Viejo. The coffee is good, but what's really tasteful is the alfajor, made with La Salamandra's famous dulce de leche. It's a must.

We wanted a light lunch and a local shop keeper suggested this place. We had a very nice salad with grilled vegetables as part of their fixed lunch menu. It came with a beverage as well as coffee or tea. A nice deal. Their pastries also looked good so we had an Alfahores which was wonderfull

I loved their coffee. We went on a quiet morning and we had a nice break from visiting the local shops. The service was friendly and the dulce de leche spectacular. The coffee shop serves lunch but I did not try it. We were just having a break. I saw a few people having lunch. The pastries were great as well.

Stopped in for coffee and pastry, which was good in a nice atmosphere. But then we had very slow service, and a really hard time paying. In fact our change never came. Now in retrospect we wonder if something was being planned.

Right after we left the cafe, a man ran up and grabbed my watch off my arm. As I gave chase, another man drove up on a motorcycle and the thief hopped on. All very well timed and planned. Later when reporting this to police, we were told this is a common strategy among small gangs. We can't help but wonder if we were being identified at this cafe and delayed so that others could pull this off. The hotel staff where we were staying said this sort of thing is possible.

We had had no other problems in buenos aires until then. And it happened right after we left the shop. So who knows? But be cautious and very aware of your surroundings. They are looking for tourists.

We stayed across the street from this gem and took surprisingly long to wander in. I regret waiting because we only got a chance to eat there once. They have a full menu of tempting breakfast and lunch items. Our food was delicious and the staff friendly. We went back another day and bought some mozzarella and a bottle of chocolate/dulce de leche topping. They will happily give you a sample of any of their dulce de leches, so be sure to ask!
