As many other reviewers have pointed out, I Latina is a must visit while in town. The food and service is excellent. The Sommelier is Camillo, one of two brothers who own the restaurant. He is very friendly and provided excellent service. His brother, Santiago, is the Chef. The kitchen open so we could watch as the staff prepared and plated the food, which was interesting. The pork was very tender and flavorful. I think my favorite dish was the salmon tartare with the quail egg. The dish included cucumbers with a melon sorbet. It was so simple, yet so refreshing and good.

We have eaten at several other highly rated restaurants in the US and other countries, and the food and service is comparable to many. But once you factor in the price, it's clear I Latina is worth checking out!

I Latina Tasting Menu.

Went there for a romantic dinner last night. We were delighted with every flavor, aroma, and overall presentation of each plate! The waitress and sommelier went out of their way with the way they served us and gladly explained to us each plate. After the meal the waitress kindly offered to call a cab for us. It was a very nice gesture. (The fixed price of the menu includes beverages) Finally, they showed us the kitchen, where we met the chefs, who seemed very happy to meet us and chat with us briefly. It was a wonderful experience. We certainly hope you can enjoy it as much as we did!

Fantastic customer service and knowledge of the Columbian cuisine, good selection and range of wines that compliments the food that is served. It is two brothers from Columbia who own and run this restaurant and one of the brothers serves the food and wine, the other cooks. There was 6 meals and desert set out so you didn't have to choose, and although they were all small portions, by the end you are full. Every dish that was served was delicious and the wines the same. One of the owners was even nice enough to give me his email as we are travelling up to Columbia and he will give some information about the place. At the end of the night as we were leaving the chef brother came out to shake our hands and was also very friendly. where you sit you can see into the kitchen where they cook also. Quite expensive, so if you are travelling on a budget, just be aware :-)

We had the pleasure of dining at iLatina during a two week tour of Argentina and can say without question that it was the best restaurant on our trip. While a little off the beaten path, the house makes for a great setting and ambiance. We were pleased with the variety of items on the menu and the latin-inspired cuisine was amazing! The wine pairings were on point and the cost isn't anywhere close to the value you get eating here. We especially enjoyed watching the activity in the kitchen while we waited between courses.
As others have noted, reservations are definitely required. While it was not full when we ate, I imagine during high-season this is a tough seat to get. We booked our reservation about two weeks before leaving. Camilo was a great host, told interesting stories and was also able to provide us with some great "insider" recommendations on Mendoza, where he had a restaurant prior to this one. Don't miss iLatina!
