Absolutely fantastic experience!

The two brothers, Camilo and Santiago, who own and operate the restaurant, are very friendly and service minded and they gave us a very memorable New Years eve!

We had a seven course meal with wine pairing and the waiters and/or owners explained how each course had been prepared and what the ingredients were. The wine pairing was excellent with all local wines from vineyards in Mendoza.

Living in Manhattan we are very spoiled with great restaurants, however iLatina definitely brought something different to the table. Authentic Colombian food, served in a closed door restaurant in a beautiful townhouse with impeccable service and attention to detail. The ambiance and hospitality was fantastic.

We definitely recommend getting a reservation if you are visiting Buenos Aires!

I Latina is one of the increasingly trendy "private" restaurants in Buenos Aires - meaning that you need a reservation in order to get in. The restaurant is set up with great care and we could even see the chef cooking which was a lot of fun. Prices is 65.- USD per person and includes a five-course menu that Camilo and his brother will serve with four wine pairings. The food is good and plates are arranged very nicely. However, we felt that they were a little stingy with the wine and I was quite disappointed that all four wines were from the same (big) winery as I was hoping to taste a broad range of Argentine wines (rather than the ubiquitous Cabernet Sauvignon). All in all, I Latina is a fancy restaurant with good food in a nice atmosphere.

The beautiful setting in an antique house, the great service provided by its owners, the delicious food including an explanation of each course and the great job done at pairing excellent wines with every course made this a memorable dinner.

Stellar!

During the 2nd evening of our stay in Buenos Aires, we had the pleasure of dining at I Latina. Before going, I’d emailed with Camilo (co-owner) a number of times – and found him to be very responsive. When he shared details of the five course meal, I indicated to him that I don’t eat salmon – and he and his brother / co-owner / chef, Santiago, worked to find a replacement for me.

The five course meal included an amazing sampling of wines – and Camilo was more than willing to pour us more of our favorites. The food was perfectly prepared and highly creative – and we enjoyed the ambience in the converted house / restaurant.

During our meal, we had the opportunity to talk at length with Camilo and to meet Santiago – both of whom were gracious hosts. We closed down the restaurant, and Camilo arranged to have a taxi waiting for us. We enjoyed our experience so much that we actually sent a few others whom we’d met in Mendoza to this place.

One small point of note – the portions are a little bit small – something to think about going forward. Regardless, huge recommendation and nearly flawless!
