We had an amazing night at We Are Tango.

We were met by Clementine with such a warm and friendly welcome and were taken upstairs to be introduced to our cocktails for the evening.

After this we were shown to our seats at the dancefloor. There were just 4 tables set up so we knew it was going to be an intimate performance.

Throughout the night we were offered a selection of wines, were given a Picquito dinner (cold cuts and cheese) and also a choice of tasty empanadas.

The performance was no disappointment, the dancers were fantastic. They were accompanied by an amazing Argentinian band who were just great and we were given a bit of history to tango by Clementine as the night went on.

The end of the performance arrived (sadly) and we were treated to a tango lesson by the dancers themselves.

Was great fun and an amazing introduction to tango where we were so close to the dancers we could hear their feet sweeping on the floor.

A must!!!

Although we are by no means tango experts, my wife and I enjoyed the venue because it was more intimate compared to what we had read about the big dinner clubs. Our host served us a drink on arrival and during the show gave us some of the history of the dance. The small band and singer were great, and the dancers were right in front of us. Most importantly, we both felt that the band, singer and dancers were not just 'performing', but really had a passion for tango.

For those who love the mystery of the Tango, this place is awesome to experience. Try to avoid touristy and go to the heart of where Argentines enjoy their time. You get in great mood, filled with good food and drink. No disappointment!

Clemente was an tremendous host for my wife and me. We arrived a bit before the show started and he made us an aperitif of our choice. (no fernet for me, but try it once for yourself).

His English is incredible. Clemente walked us through the history of tango while the band and dancers kept pace. The bandoneon (like an accordion but better) player was particularly animated, but the whole band including singer was great.

We went for the all you can drink wine (which can easily sneak up on you if you aren't careful) and the meat and cheese plate. The food was fine, but we were so full from earlier we didn't have much.

If you have to go to one of the big shows with hundreds of seats, fine, go for it. when we were here we felt like the only ones there, and that intimate experience is not to be missed.
