“Inexpensive, clean and comfortable !”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 12, 2013

This is one of the best inexpensive hotels I have stayed in. It is clean and comfortable. It is situated strategically close (walking distance) to main attractions and restaurants. Front desk was very helpful and gave very good advises on the city. They were also multilingual. They spoke English very well. Room was medium in size, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included and more than just a continental breakfast and was great especially the small custard pies.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view and in upper floors (above 5th floor) so noise is not a problem.

We've spent 2 nights in this hotel and this is the review:

Pros:
1) Superb location in San Telmo district, very close to "La Casa Rosada", Buenos Aires' government palace and really close to downtown.
2) It is a modern building with garage which adds a plus to a 3 star hotel
3) The rooms are comfortable and the bed is very good (see below a small issue with the rooms)
4) The front door is locked by night and there is a security guard, guarding the entrance
5) There is wifi connection in all the hotel at no extra cost (see below)
6) There is a great lobby with awesome funiture
7) Check out is at 12 PM and you can storage your bags in the hotel until you leave at no charge

Cons:
1) The bathroom is glass surrounded and the glass is very thin. If you go to this hotel, make sure you have enough confidence with the person you are going with. Noises and smells escape outside the bathroom.
2) The internet connection is slow. Only useful to check emails, use google maps or view a lightweight web app. If that is the use you intent, then it is fine.
3) The breakfast is nice, but kind of poor. Consists of: Toasts, croissants, ham and cheese, pastries, milk, coffee, tea, orange and grapefruit juice. There is not yogurt, no fruit, no eggs, no bacon.
4) The service. The guys from the reception are nice and kind, however, anything you need is slow to get. If you want hot water for a tea or "mate" you have to go down stairs to get it and the elevators could take up to 7 minutes to arrive...
5) The fridge in the room only have water. If you want something else, you have to either bring it yourself or buy it in a vending machine downstairs. Also, the soap in the bathroom is horrible.
6) There is a letter in your room saying the they won't do the cleaning unless you request to, however, we did not request anything and they clean it. For some people this could be ok, but if you have a notice that something works some way you want it to happen that way.

All in all, it is a fine hotel to stay with no showstoppers, but they should fix some of the issues mentioned.

I'm pretty disappointed with this hotel. Some months ago I did a reserve of 2 rooms with couple's bed. When I arrived I got the sad new that no one of my rooms were available. I was forced to accept 2 twin rooms just with single's bed available. They weren't nice with situation and don't give any attention for our problem... Don't spend your money here...

This hotel was in an excellent location, so close to Florida Ave, and Avenida de Mayo. You can walk everywhere and the walk in Avenida de Mayo is nice. Make sure you take a camera as the architecture is amazing. There are also lots of cafes, restaurants and bars nearby.

The staff in the hotel speak English as well, although I speak Spanish my daughter does not, and she was able to talk to them in English when I was not around.

The rooms are small, but everything is brand new and the beds were really comfortable. I also found for the price it was better than expected. I would stay there again if I went back to Buenos Aires.

Argentine pastries at the breakfast bar are divine. The staff is English speaking and very nice to this non-Spanish speaking tourist. Everything is new and in excellent working order. San Telmo (dinner, atmosphere, the flea market) is a short interesting walk. Plaza de Mayo is a shorter interesting walk. The Microcenter (dining, atmosphere, shopping) a short interesting walk. Two blocks to 9 Julio Ave., so the location couldn´t be better. The bed was new and comfortable. My room was small but well designed.
I´m fussy. I loved this place.

It's a regular hotel, the rooms are small but with enough space, is located in a central area which is good and connected but not very safe at night, not recommendable to walk around. About the staff, in the morning they were friendly but the young man that attending during the evenings was always unwilling to help or if you have a question he did not pay attention or just did not have the service attitude to work in a hotel.

We arrived at the hotel at 3AM on a Saturday morning for a 9 night stay that had been booked through a major online service. Stupidly, I arrived without having a printout of the reservation confirmation, and discovered that they had no record of our reservation. Fortunately, the front desk clerk was able to identify a clerical error at the hotel and quickly fixed things and prepared the room for us. We were surprised how small the quadruple room was - the floor was completely covered with beds, leaving very little room to maneuver around. Some reorganization fixed this up, but the room was far smaller than it appeared in the photos on the web. The English speaking front-desk staff were a godsend to us - we had many travel arrangements and activities to book, and they helped us enormously and always courteously. The morning breakfasts are good quality and are available between 7 and 11am. The hotel doesn't operate a bar or restaurant at any other time of day. The first couple of mornings, we managed to miss the breakfast timeslot, but we found a Starbucks a short walk away on Belgrano. Hotel Two is located in a historic business district of downtown BA. This means that evenings and weekends, stores and restaurants in the immediate area pretty much shut down. Weekdays, it becomes extremely busy. The hotel is well-situated for convenient access to things like the Buquebus terminal (for bus and boat access) and Jorge Newberry Aeroparque. Organized tours and activities will pick up and drop off at the hotel, and the hotel staff is happy to provide information and book these for you. We booked a tango dinner through them - make sure that the price is made clear at the time the booking occurs. The hotel obtains a discounted rate for events, but tango restaurant will quite cheerfully charge you full price when you arrive. Forewarned is forearmed. The area feels reasonably safe at night, but precautions should always be taken in Buenos Aires. For transportation to Ezeiza, make sure you arrange it through the hotel - they will get you a better rate (guaranteed) than the metered taxi fares. I'm not sure if the "taxi" we got was licensed (there was no meter), but it was clean and comfortable with a huge trunk and the price was as advertised.

I highly recommend this hotel - it is clean, comfortable (but rooms are small), and has free wifi as well as computers in the lobby with internet access. Printing is a bit awkward - you need to send an email to the front desk with the information you need to print. This can be challenging if your boarding pass isn't sent in email by the airline. If the rooms were a bit larger, this would be a 5 star rating - but I'm sure the price would be higher.
