“Nice but pillows soft as bricks”
Reviewed December 20, 2012

Your neck will be so sore from the hard pillows, you'll really need the jacuzzi tub in room and the thick bathrobes would be nice if they weren't tailored to munchkins. Rooms were roomy and clean. No computers for the guests and if you are in B.A. on a Sunday or holiday, there are no internet cafes available. The swimming pool would maybe fit a few chihuahuas and the bathrooms were obviously designed by someone who had never used one. Magic Johnson would have to stretch to reach the towel racks and the half glass shower door guaranteed a floor flood. But can't say enough good things about the staff (front desk, doormen, waiters, housekeepers) who are genuine and couldn't do enough for us when we caught colds - even running to the nearby pharmacy for us. After a week, felt like family. And the Palermo Soho district is a treat, especially at night with the trees lit up and chic outdoor cafes - familes, lovers out on the street. Just watch your step as the sidewalks are all torn up, garbage and dog poop.

Got a really friendly welcome and were able to check into our room early. Room was big and had a balcony.

The reception staff, especially Deborah, were so helpful. She sorted polo tickets for us in advance. Then while we stated they helped book tango shows and gave us advice on what to do and where to eat.

The breakfast is ok. There's a guy who looks over the room all the time which is a bit off putting and he's not very friendly. They offer cereal but there aren't any bowls or cold milk, so you have to have hot milk and eat out of a cup. It's a bit random.

We didn't eat in the restaurant, it didn't look too special and there are so many great restaurants within walking distance. One if the best and closest was Las Pizarras, 2298 Thames St. Cheap but amazing food, go before 9 or after 10.30 to make sure you get a table.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends.

This is a very new, modern hotel in Palermo Soho. We were greeted by the staff in a most hospitable manner. Each person with whom we came into contact, from the person who took our bags from the taxi and brought them to the room, to all the folks at the reception desk, was extremely friendly and helpful. They were able to give us directions, make reservations for dinner and assist with other things we requested during our stay. Always pleasant and courteous! The rooms were good sized, welll-equipped and quite comfortable. There was a nice terrace, with a lounge chair, which provided great relaxation on a sunny afternoon. The only thing missing in the room was a coffee/tea pot. Breakfast was a very good buffet, with eggs to order if you wished. The location was very convenient to lots of outdoor cafes, etc. We can't say enough good things about this great little hotel!

Room Tip: It appears that all rooms are the same size - probably not a bad room in the hotel. There are five r...

This hotel is located in Palermo, walking distance to La Rural exhibition centre.
The hotel rooms were an excellent size for a Boutique hotel, and kept very clean. All the staff were freindly and helpful.

Room Tip: Fifth floor room

We chose this hotel for location and rooms. It is 5 mins walk to Plaza Italia metro and 5-10 to Palermo Viejo, but lots of trendy sightseeing on the way. palermo Hollywood is a bit further but walkable. We had a superior suite, about the same size as the normal, but L shaped instead of one long room and with large sofa and armchairs instead of two armless chairs, plus a large balcony. Large bathroom with shower/jacuzi. Small supermarket 100m round the corner and large one down the street. Drawbacks were traffic noise (no problem with airco and double glazing) and strangely not even a kettle in the room for tea or coffee.

We stayed at BA Sohotel for 4 days and loved it. The rooms were spacious, modern and clean. The service was exceptional and the staff were extremely friendly.
Breakfast was nice and the location was good, a few blocks from the best shopping in Palermo.
I'd definitely recommend this hotel.
