“Ugly small plaza”
Reviewed October 19, 2012 via mobile

Not much to see here. We were only here to meet a free walking tour (find it on trip advisor). The park is extremely small (not sure how it can even be called a park) and the statue in the middle has graffiti on it.

“Traffic”
Reviewed June 29, 2012

This is what you will find. Lots of traffic! The monument of Garibaldi isn't astonishing. The entrance to the botannical garden and Zoo are "on" the Plaza, as well as the Rural. It has a good second hand book fair to one side which is interesting mainly due to the lost editions you can find.

“Plaza Italia”
Reviewed March 8, 2012

The location of the Plaza is more exciting than the Plaza itself. There are lots of bookstores (some with English titles) in and around the Plaza. It is conveniently located across the street from the zoo and the botanic garden. It's close to the US Embassy, the Japanese Garden, the Planetario, and spacious parks. The Plaza itself is no big deal.

“Lots of books and shops”
Reviewed November 16, 2011

Plaza Italia has lots of little shops and in the middle had books sold. It is a decent area to visit. I found other parts of the city to be better.
