It stretches from Plaza de Mayo to Plaza de Congreso for circa two km. It is a nice walk that allows to see el Cabildo (in Plaza de Mayo), the famous Café Tortoni, a nice fountain at the intersection with Avenida 9 de Julio, and the Barolo Palace, before reaching the end on the north side in a nice green area with a view on Palacio de Congreso. There are also several restaurants and bars, also in the streets that crosses the avenida, making it a good place to plan lunch or dinner.

Avenida de Mayo is where it all happens and it is such a beautiful street to visit and explore. There is so much to do in the area and there are plenty of landmarks nearby!

We were there when there was a Bolivian festival, but I gather there is always something on. We also watched a local game (Boca Juniors v River Plate) at Cerveza Patagonia - great atmosphere!

This avenue joins up 2 of the main plazas in the city and is filled with stunning buildings and would be a highlight for anyone who studies architecture.

This avenue connect Plaza de Mayo with Plaza Congreso, Casa Rosada with the Parliament. This is a piece of Madrid in Buenos Aires. Nice for a walk and drink a coffe in Cafe Tortoni
