Calle Florida is often mentioned in the forums and suggested by the various guides as one of the great attractions of Buenos Aires. I made a point to visit it, and was sorely disappointed. It deserves may be a 15 min stroll, but nothing else, since there are far more interesting things to see in this wonderful city. Cale Florida is a pedestrian street with lots of shops, tons of tourists, and more people who harass those tourists to go and visit shops that pay them to do so. We were stopped at some of them, just out of curiosity, just to find really poor quality products at an unreasonable price and clingy sales people. In all honesty, if your time in the city is limited to few days, there are far more interesting things to see.
