very crowded sometimes, with a lot of tourists walking around, but you can find good prices here if you have some patience.

Florida is always a mix of interesting and annoying as you get hounded by people walking by, but right now, several blocks are under construction, which means it is really noisy and a pain to walk down. W are not sure for how long the construction will last, but its got to be at least a few more months as the street was gone.

Not a good place to hang out as there are a lot of people who are there specifically to size up tourists for snatch and grab robberies. Last month (November 2012) a tourist was shot in a robbery while trying to exchange money at the "blue rate." Be careful! Only exchange money at reputable places. I'd just withdraw from an ATM if I was you. Anyhoo, not the place to wander alone but there are some interesting stops off of the pedestrian friendly Florida Street (Florida Garden Cafe, entrance to Galarias Pacifico, and the old Harrods building to name a few).

Preferred target for tourist robbery, the bad guys are everywhere: inside the shops, in the galleries, the street and even the "safe" shopping centres like the Galerias Pacifico.
Please be very careful !!!

Oh no, where did all the street performers go? Was looking forward to some street Tango, I was told this was THE place to see it - is there a reason it's no longer there? Did I go on the wrong day? It's all now people touting to change money to dollars...
