Owner description: Architecture buffs will love the opulent, early 20th-century buildings that line this mile-long pedestrian mall, popular for its gem, leather and fur stores.

Oh no, where did all the street performers go? Was looking forward to some street Tango, I was told this was THE place to see it - is there a reason it's no longer there? Did I go on the wrong day? It's all now people touting to change money to dollars...

full of over-priced stores, money changers and hawkers selling exorbitant tango shows. There are other pedestrian streets that are much friendlier and calmer.

This is a very busy street - filled both with pedestrians and an enormous variety of shops. Thankfully it is fully pedestrianized as negotiating the people, money changers, street performers and tour sellers can be a bit of a challenge. Most of the shopping is higher end. Take a look at some of the specialized leather shops which contain beautiful clothing. As in any busy area, take extra care of your belongings.

The Calle Florida is a pedestrian street with lots of caffes, restaurants and shops. There you will see so many different faces, styles, lots of people and great buildings. The shopping center GALERIAS PACIFICO is a must visit while in this day trip. It has beautiful ceiling paintings and lots of shops and food places.

This is the ultimate tourist street but it has everything and locals go there just as much as foreigners. From fancy bookstores to hidden shopping malls to illegal moneychangers this street is long and full of action pretty much morning to night. Fun for a stroll or concentrated errand running.
