“We stayed in Recoleta”

We decided to stay in Recoleta at an AirBNB apartment. Beautiful part of the city. Feels like the upper east side of NYC. Loved the Recoleta Cemetery

“Interesting. ”

If you are interested in history, then Recoleta cemetery is a great place to learn about famous personages who lived and died in Argentina. If you are just a casual observer, then the cemetery is simply just a unique experience regardless of anything else.

It was fun to see mausoleum after mausoleum reading the name and stumbling accords Eva Duarte Peron's site.

Personally, I got tired after about an hour but I do recommend because it is a once in lifetime type of site to see.

Not just about Eva Peron, the place is beautiful and cared for and ha some amazing monuments. It did feel a bit creepy at first but after a while it was nice to sit on a bench or stroll around and take a look at the other parts apart from the Eva memorial

“Little Paris”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 13, 2014

I have lived in Recoleta for 1.8 years now and I just feel like in Europe. Lovely architecture, plenty of places where to eat out and of course, it is quite safe. Av Santa Fe can get very busy so I recommend to avoid it during the rush hours :)

Nice safe area to stay in. Buildings are fantastic. Very central. Beautiful market on weekends. The cemetary is a must see. Would recommend a tour guide as they explain everything.
