Owner description: This fashionable, upscale neighborhood is lined with cafes, boutiques and galleries and morphs into a street fair on weekends.

The area is nice to roam around -- albeit expensive -- we would up in the area after visiting the cemetery. We did however find a great restaurant called la Milanesa there that fit our budget. The mall there was also a nice respite from the heat!

This is the best place to be on the weekend. Spent a great time at the Hippie Market on Saturday - only on weekends! Artists bring their wares and sell them. I have bought beautiful silver jewelry, funky clothes, and beautiful wood items. Then, a short walk to the cemetery where Eva Peron is buried - it is like a little city and fascinating to see all the tombs. Then, go on and have a great lunch or dinner - outside with great Argentinian wine and great steak. Their beef is the best in South America, even better than Brazil's and I love it there too.

Beautiful architecture - like Paris and Barcelona, parks, wide streets and sidewalks, restaurants with typical cuisine. Very pleasant place to walk.

This part of town is the best of Buenos Aires. We were pleased to stay in it. It's walkable or easy to take busses to wherever you may want to go. Most of the big attractions are fairly close and going to places like San Telmo or the Teatre Colón are an easy bus ride away

The wide streets dotted with lush green trees and beautiful buildings allowed for a safe and very pleasing stroll along the numerous "boulevard's"
