Recoleta has something for everyone and it is all with a few blocks walk--be it an upscale shop, top restaurant, local food, antiques, museums, you can find it easily and safely.

Interesting area, large weekend market after midday Saturday, near to the cemetery, the tulip, Hard Rock cafe and other eateries.

We rented an apartment in La Recoleta. It is a wonderful neighborhood with the old BA charm. Full of excellent restaurants, shops, and safe.

Take a stroll, immerse yourself in the sounds and sights. I was lucky enough to walk through the streets and found tango performance by dancers in training. If you visit the Plaza Intendente Alvear not only will you find many crafts and local artisans, but also free performances. There is also the Recoleta Cemetery where you will find Evita Duarte Peron's tomb. If not, just enjoy the French architecture. Beautiful neighborhood.

This is a magic place where you can get lost in the History of Argentina. It is the case that great art and statuary can often be found in graveyards and this is no exception.
