“Historical area”
Reviewed June 5, 2013

Perfect area to stay in. Clean and felt very safe. Tour of the cemetery is worth the time and money. Evening walking tour is also very interesting and enjoyable. No charge but strong arm donation at the end -- worth it anyway.

“Well Worth Seeing”
Reviewed June 3, 2013

The Recoleta area itself has the feel of an upscale Paris neighborhood. It's a pleasant place for a stroll. The cemetery is clearly the high point. The ornate mausoleums are not only sights in their own rights but give you a good insight in to the nature of the culture of the Argentinian upper classes. Try to visit when there's a craft market going on.

Good shops, nice restaurants with outdoor seating and of course, don't go without a walk around the cemetery.

“Nice place to relax especially on weekends!”
Reviewed May 29, 2013

There's a nadcraft market on weekends where you can negociate and buy some great leather goods and souvenirs; they're not happy about negociating but they will be a lot more friendly if you have dollars as it's very hard for them to buy foreign currency.

“cool neighborhood”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

one of the areas worth visiting in Buenos Aires. has more than just a historic luxurious cemetary. the neighborhood itself is cool and pretty to hang around with friends, sit in a cafe or in Freddo(one of the best ice cream places), or just chill on the grass on a sunday. don't miss the huge tree located not far from the cemetary.
