“One of the must-see parts of Buenos Aires...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 26, 2012

I stayed in the Recoleta neighbourhood during part of my stay in BA. It's safe (I was traveling by myself), there are lots of restaurants and shops, and of course interesting sights like the cemetery (kind of goes without saying). Definitely worth a day or two of wandering around. There's a market that goes on outside of the cemetery, but I much prefer San Telmo market.

“Best neighborhood to stay in Buenos Aires”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 26, 2012

Nice restaurants, cafes. Also the City of the Dead is walking distance. Amazing cemetery where many famous Argentines are buried. Such as Evita Peron.

“Interesting cemetary”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 25, 2012

We had a fascinating visit to the cemetary. I thought perhaps we'd been swindled by the fake guide outside who gave us a map to Evita's tomb and then asked for money but his map was most helpful as the cemetary is huge. It was amazing to see such mausoleums.

“Beautiful area”

Nice walking area. Close to museums and united nations plaza with large lotus flower. Ave Alvear really does put one in the mind of Paris.
