Owner description: Architectural landmarks in the city’s oldest neighborhood have been restored, and this revitalized area is distinctly artistic, with cafes, antique shops, cobblestone streets and lots of artists and dancers.

“Only at Sunday”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 7, 2013

One of our Sundays at Buenos Aires we went to San Telmo, in particular to Defensa street and Plaza Dorrego. There is a flea market at Plaza Dorrego we walked around then headed to Defensa street, it is about 11 or 12 blocks long and ends at Plaza De Mayo. At both sides of the street there are many stands selling all kinds of souvenirs at decent prices. Few closed markets are also available with some open air restaurants and cafés. This is a nice place for shopping at Sunday.

“Paseo de la historieta”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 27, 2013

There is a "path of the comic" with statues of argentine comics that lead to the "comics museum". The comics museum is kind of boring to me, but my family liked it better than me.

“Worth a visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 15, 2013

Everyone told us that if we were in BA on a Sun, we should go. Gave us a good excuse to take the Supte, which was a good, easy trip and cost about 50 cents each. We wandered around for a few hours, first in the main plaza and then down the long street where vendors sold new items. Grabbed some lunch before heading back to hotel .

“outdoor fair”

A great outdoor fair with antiques and local artisan products on Sunday. Some of buildings are picturesque. There are lots antique stores, small restaurants, cafés, and even a Starbucks.

A longside the great market is an old restaurant that sells amazing empanads ! The actual restaurant does not look like it has changed since the 30's -
