“Colourful vibrant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 23, 2014

It is easy to go there by taxi but be careful if you dont give the money in change because you might be given fake money. Apart from this first and last time experience in Buenos Aires for 50 dollars once we arrived in la Boca we found ourselves in a colourful world surrounded by colourful houses while Maradonna and Eva Peton were saluting in one of the balconies the trees were dressed with colourful handmade covers. in the area there is a wonderful pizza restaurant where locals visit fir family gathering. You should try it if you go to la Boca. You can also visit the stadium of boca Juniors and but things in the shop but things are cheaper in the city.

“Nice to see”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 22, 2014

La Boca is worth about 2 hours of your time. It is an old neighborhood with colorful building. There are shopping opportunities and restaurants. Some of the restaurants have Tango dancers outside.

There are police there to warn you about displaying your camera. It seemed safe but there must be a reason the police are milling about.

I would say it was nice to see but was not a must see.

There was a scam when we left. Where all the taxis gather there was a guy calling for taxis. When the taxi came he expected money. But the taxis were lined up so the guy served no purpose. We did not pay.

“Nice neighborhood”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 21, 2014

It's a very small neighborhood with many cute restaurants, you can see tango there if you don't wanna pay for expensive Tango show in the center. But one local person advised us not to go out of this touristic area not to be robbed.

“A great district of character and charm”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 7, 2014

They may not have the best football team but the people of La Boccaccio have the most passion. This is a great place to wonder around go to a taverna have a BBQ meal glass of wine and then do some shopping. The correlated iron homes give character and charm of a bygone era where the grass roots of the character of the people and nation grew from. Definitely not to be missed

“Colors of La Boca”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 4, 2014

A "Must" see for the colorful El Caminito neighborhood, all touristy but still vibrant in its colors, figures on balconies and leaning out of the windows. Sit down at one of the outdoor cafes (for example La Barrica) and take in a tango demonstration while sipping your vino or quilmes. But be careful off the main areas and better move by taxi, particularly at night.
