“Colorful to say the least”

An old part of the city, brightly painted and tourist focused. Good for a stroll and seeing some unique buildings

“Touristy but worth a visit”
Reviewed February 6, 2013

We visited the La Boca precinct in late December 2012 with an organised foodies tour group although we would have seen just as much and saved ourselves a few dollars if we had just wandered around the area on our own steam. Some great artwork on the old dock workers cottages, tango dancing through to Maradona lookalikes-he is still the king in the area! Plan on an hour or two and you will cover most of the worthwhile sights

La Boca is nice place to walk, see locals dancing tango. But very crowded and you have to watch your belongings.

“Full of colour and character”
Reviewed February 4, 2013

Visited Caminito and surrounding area. What joy that was! Lots of small bars and restaurants. Tango danced almost at every bar, some better than others but all totally mesmerizing and probably much more authentic than the tango shows in town. Loved references to Maradona, who remains a great hero of young people in this impoverished area. Very colorful, lots of little souvenir shops and touristy stuff but charming nonetheless. Do not miss it

This place is one of the most memorable places I have been to. The colours are amazing and the history is fascinating! A MUST if you are visiting Argentina, especially if you appreciate art and love your football!!!
