La Boca is a great area to check out when in BA but be very careful how you get there and where you venture once there. Check out the stadium, La Bombonera, which is home to the world famous Boca Juniors and then walk the safe route to La Caminito which is really cool!

The early neighborhood where the city stared from. Walk around a few blocks, see some atelliers. The same area of Caminito, a street with colorful houses, typical restaurants, souvenir stores, street musicians. Fun! A walk distance is the BOMBONERA, the famous socer stadium of Boca Juniors. The stadium pays some photos even if only from the outside because of its fame and tradition

The área is quite dangerous, and I wouldn t go there at night. Its a historic área but it s not worth the effort of going there, when you can go to different and more controlled neighbourhoods!

While may not be the safest, this neighborhood definitely stood out! I loved the colors, the statues, the shops and narrow sidewalks of La Boca. It is artsy, edgy and definitely different from all other "faces" of Buenos Aires. A must see!

It was a small area with old, small, colourful houses selling local souvenirs, and cafes with brief Tango Show. La Boca was the area where Diego Maradona joined the football league there. It's definitely a tourist spot - worth a visit while you are in Argentina because of this specialty.
