“Cool Colourful buildings”
Reviewed October 11, 2012

Worth going to see the tango shows, but it is very touristy. Restaurants were very overpriced, so best avoid. A safe place to walk with lots of character, although do not walk too far from the action, as the side streets outside feel very shady.

“Cool”
Reviewed October 9, 2012

La Boca is a district in the south-east of Buenos Aires. The portuary landscape from La Boca is one of the most picturesque places due to its colorful port setting. The Caminito Museum Street in La Boca is completely pedestrianised and although it is only around 100m long, it is one of the busiest streets in Buenos Aires. This district is also where the Bombonera stadium is located. Really nice

“Touristy, but fun”
Reviewed September 27, 2012

There are really only three main streets to the tourist part of LaBoca called "El Caminito". I enjoyed the street vendors and the free tango shows. After being in two or three shops, you realize that they sell just about the same thing. So find a good place to sit to watch the "living statues" the dance performers and do some people-watching. It is very safe as there is lots of security around.

“Best place to see Tango in BA”
Reviewed September 24, 2012

If you're most interested in watching Tango...this is the place to go. There are a number of restaurants with live shows, some with live music. Don't go for the food, drinks or service (over priced), these are simply the price of admission.

“colourful Italian immigrant neighbourhood”
Reviewed September 12, 2012

Caminito is a nice street to walk around if you have read a little about the history of the place, watch out for cameras and wallet, do not leave anything unattended. Too touristic for many people. Nice local paintings to buy at affordable prices.
