Still had a good time and saw and Italian painting exhibit that was good, but I was sad to not see this house and its collections. The exhibits scale the walls covering up the great architectural details.

“Great building”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 23, 2012

This former palace for a rich Chilean-Argentinian family is impressive. Go on a Tuesday as entry is free. Good thing for us as the exhibition from Italy was small and not very interesting. Other times may have better displays so check first

“Interesting and small.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 4, 2012

Went early (arrived at 11 am) on a Sunday to see the Italian artworks exhibition, which turn out to be a pretty complete and well-organised display. However, it takes you less than 90 minutes to see it all, so it's perfect for those who tend to get overwhelmed on large museums.
The rest of this very small museum was nice; but it would not hurt if some areas of the building were freshen up.
It is to be noted that by midday, there was a pretty long queue outside, as they limit the number of people allowed in the building, so arrive in the morning.

“Superb Mini Museum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 19, 2012

This was once the private home of a wealthy from the turn of last century. Marble stairs, enormous porte cochere entrance, and great examples of art nouveau, all will delight you on your visit. Definitely a Must-See...

“Winning museum with a special Italian exhibition”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 19, 2012

The MNDA reopened after some renovations which were necessary to enable the opening of this special exhibit ... 600 years of Italian artworks. LOVELY
Odd hours ... generally does not open until 2PM ... during school breaks, the museum opens at noon
30 pesos entry fee is expected
