Owner description: The most celebrated Argentineans, including Eva Peron and her family, are buried at this elaborate cemetery, where mausoleums replicate chapels, pyramids and Greek temples.

Much like the above ground cemeteries in New Orleans. Eva Perone's tomb is under her maiden name, Duarte.

This Largest necropolis is a place to visit in recoleta. There is plenty of places to visit around as well. Visit during day time, since it closes at 5:30PM

Across the street from our hotel I have never seen anything like it the closest would be the cemetery in New Orleans. The place is enormous you can purchase a map for $10Pesos half of which is given to charity. It is open from 7am to 7pm with free guided tours in different languages English on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Highlight is the resting place of Eva Peron.

It's huge and, like the rest of Buenos Aries, shows a past and fading splendour. The Evita site is surprisingly modest

Free. Fascinating. No need for a guide. The residents may be long dead, but this place makes B. A. history come alive.
