“Whats new Buenos Aires!”

The new Hilton here is lovely, in a great location and with fantastic modern rooms. I had a exec room on the top floor, the views are good over the old port and the service top notch. The food was overall good and the rooftop pool a great place to relax. Amazing lobby and the gym was also well equipped. Location wise, it could be better as a tourist, you have LOTS of places to eat nearby but the trendy area of Palermo is a taxi/subway ride away and there is not too much to do in the evening near by.

Recommended for business and leisure, I had a great time here, thanks Hilton BA. Keep it up!

As others have mentioned, this hotel is located in Puerto Madero and many of the rooms have water views. There were lots of restaurants to choose from on both sides of the canal and the city was right across the water (a two minute walk). Although the hotel is not located in the Recoleta Museum district, we were very happy with the location. The hotel gym was fantastic and included in the price of the room. We had a corner suite and the rooms were huge and beautiful. The one drawback was in the club lounge, the waitstaff was unbelievably rude and would sit and count the seconds that they could close up after breakfast or cocktail hour. I actually saw them watching their watches. Also, they would not put out any additional food after 9:30 although breakfast was supposed to be until 10:00 a.m. They did similary during cocktail hour. In contrast, the club lounge concierge could not have been nicer or more helpful. Overall, we did love this hotel.

This was our first trip to Argentina. We choosed the Hilton because we were looking for a modern, clean hotel on a safe neighbourhood. I've read that Buenos Aires is not a very safe city in terms of pickpocketing on the streets and bad driving so we wanted to stay on a safe area.
The hotel is located in Puerto Madero. It is one of the newest parts of town. It is about 30 minutes from the airport. A taxi drive will cost approx. $30.00 US. One our day to the hotel we took just a regular taxi from the airport and on the way back we paid for an hotel taxi that was about $60.00 US.

Puerto Madero is very safe. There are a lof of tourists walking on the streets and the Navy Police Headquarters is right in the corner of the hotel. There are A LOT of restaurants to choose from in the area (walking distance), prices are about the same that you would pay in a good restaurant here in Toronto. I would guess that is a bit pricey for South American standards. We went to a very famous steakhouse called "Cabana Las Lilas". I don't really know what is all the hype about this place. It was good but I've been to much better places here in Canada and in the US.

The hotel is very clean. The rooms are big and beds comfortable. The TV is a bit outdated for a Hilton I would say. It's a small plasma TV. The remote control was broken and had scotch tape at the back so the batteries wouldn't come off. There is a little alarm clock too (no IPOD deck). Internet connection is not free (most of hotels in BA have free wifi in rooms). Wifi is only available at the lobby. When you pay for your room connection they give you a password that you can use in the lobby (we stayed 5 days and it only worked for 2 days).
There is an outdoor swimming pool that we never used.

Their guests seems to be business people and a lot of airline crews. We did not see a single kid/baby in the five days we stayed there.

Staff was not very friendly. Just straight to the point. I didn't think they were rude or unpolite but they basically just give you a yes/no when you ask them something. There is a little coffee shop in the lobby that we used quite a lot. We are coffee drinkers and it was hard to find a place in BA where they can serve you a coffee bigger than a little tiny cup. Forget about walking with a Starbucks cup like on your hand. Coffee cups don't have lids and if they do, they don't have a hole where you can drink from.

Walls are thin so if you have someone watching TV in the room next to you, you will be able to hear the noise. Same with people chatting in the hallways or if you are near the elevators.

I forgot to mention that on our first day, the entry card to the room didn't work. We talked to the front desk and it was not a card problem but a lock one so they sent 2 guys to fix it. They actually took the whole thing out, and came back, after an hour, with a whole new lock... A bit strange I thought because the hotel is not that old (10 years old) and it is not cheap either so you will think everything is well maintened.
Also they only changed the shower soap once. It was a very small bar that will be finish after 2 showers. We had to go twice to ask for extra soap. I must mention that every morning we left 2 dollars for tip for housekeeping.... you will think they can do better than that.

Overall it's just an OK hotel. We've stayed in many Hiltons before all over North America and this one it would be an average one. As I said, I thought the hotel is on a good location, is very clean but it lacks a bit in service.

Hilton is located in Puerto Madero a new area of Buenos Aires, and of course is a modern Hotel, very good, in vevery aspect, but what stands above all is the site because is very safe, clean, and around the area, many very good restaurants. I have been to Buenos aires 3 times before, but I won't come back to buenos aires, the city was not clean even in front of Casa Rosada trash in the streets I see Argentina has gone back from my previous visits.

The Hilton in Buenos Aires was perfect for our stay in Buenos Aires. The location is great, within walking distance of many restaurants and nice walk along the water. If you need to get into other parts of the city it is only a brief cab ride away. It is also only approximately 30 minutes away from the international airport by cab.

Once there, the hotel staff were beyond great. We had many questions about what to do and they were very cordial and accomodating.

If you're in the mood for some nice perks within the hotel, be sure to sign up for the Executive level. We were served limitless amounts of snacks and beer each evening as well as a nice breakfast.

All in all, a great hotel and one I would recommend to anyone traveling to Buenos Aires. Made our experience in Buenos Aires a great one.

Slow, bureaucratic check in process and long queue if you arrive when a 747 flight crew arrives ( there was an unstaffed flight crew desk). Unlike most hotels they don't have a record of any of your details even if you are a member of the Hilton loyalty programme, so had to fill in 3 long forms including one for my teenage son. We were in a hurry to get to our room after a 15 hour flight from London. Staff just rude and patronising. On checkout they didn't have details of transfer costs so spent ages getting these when I pointed out they were missing. Be warned that although they tell you Int. Airport transfer cost is US$60 they try to add extras after the driver gets you to sign a blank form.
The hotel is in a good location near lots of good restaurants but personally I would never stay here again after this experience as staff are simply not trained to receive customers and the rooms are so so anyway.
Plenty of other much better options in B.A.

On two separate trips to Argentina this year we have stayed at the Hilton five times now.
I can't think of a single complaint. The rooms are quiet, comfortable, clean and well-appointed with plenty of space.

We mostly stayed on the executive floor and if you can afford the upgrade it is well worth it. The views across to the central part of Buenos Aires on the West side are just stunning - especially at night. If you aren't in an executive room however it would be better to try to get on the East side of the hotel because there is a building next to the hotel on this side which would block the view completely on the lower floors. The views from the East are fine though.

The location in Puerto Modero is extremely safe with the Naval Police on just about every corner. There are also lots of cafes and restaurants within very easy walking distance.
Its a bit of a walk to the main Buenos Aires attractions but we found the taxis cheap and plentiful and the taxi drivers helpful and friendly. There is not a lot of English but once my husband got his hopeless accent under control they all understood 'Hotel Hilton' especially when he added 'Puerto Modero'. Taking a taxi from the hotel was dead easy because the concierges were always there to translate our destination into Spanish.

The friendly and incredibly helpful concierge staff alone are enough reason to stay at this hotel. As leisure travellers we don't make a lot of use of concierge services usually but we got caught up in a strike by Lan on our last trip and found ourselves at the airport with all Lan flights cancelled and the domestic area in total confusion. Not speaking the language made it even more difficult. My husband rang the Hilton booked a room for the night and headed straight for the concierge desk when we got there. The concierges were just fantastic. Victor took over all negotiations with Lan as well as cancelling the hotel in Mendoza where we had expected to spend the night. He went off duty at 3 p.m but handed us over to Charles on the night shift and by 9 p.m we were able to go to bed knowing that the strike was over and we had a confirmed seat on the Lan flight to Mendoza the next day. Next morning Victor had re-checked that there were no problems with our flight by the time we came downstairs. We managed to get to Mendoza without further aggravation.

I can highly recommend this hotel to anyone considering staying in Buenos Aires.
