Staff and breakfast are great. Rooms are fairly old and A/C unit and bathroom fan are extremely loud. Expected more for being a 5 star hotel. Price is fair if compared to others. Street renovation right in front of hotel undergoing at the moment.

Located in the historic district of Buenos Aires, the NH City Hotel is one of the oldest hotels in the city. It is half a block from the Plaza de Mayo and a half block from the National College of Buenos Aires, one of the best schools in Latinamerica. Sumptuous, excellent and clean rooms, the NH City Hotels is one of the places to stay in Buenos Aires. Across the street you will find the church of San Ignacio, the oldest church in the city. San Telmo neighborhood, a few steps away, it s a historic place of Buenos Aires where you could get the best antiques.
The multilingual staff is very friendly and will assist you in all what you could need.

We stayed here for 1 night. The hotel is decent with big room for the price that we paid for a big city like Buenos Aires. However, I'm not sure if it's because it's a big city or the staff at the hotel, they were not that warm and friendly as most of the staff I've met at other places. But over all nothing to complain.

The hotel is not worth the money you spend and not even close to 4 stars.

The rooms are more or less ok but for 4 stars you can expect more. The team is only barely talking English. If you sit at the bar you have to wait for ever or like in our cars will not get served. Room service is insane expensive but this dose not matter, they won't serve you as well.

So what's left? If the price would be less then half, I would say a good address for people who need only something to sleep. But for the price they want and also the expectations you have as a guest: not again!

We booked here for the last night of our honeymoon because we wanted somewhere a little classier. We ended up coming back to the city a day earlier so we added a night. They confused the two reservations on a number of occasions, tried to check us out a day earlier (by waking us up, twice!), the housekeepers took the extra pillows we requested (the two provided were flat, lumpy seperated foam), suggested a restaurant to go to for excellent dinner (worst meal we had in Argentina), and said they made a reservation for a tango show (they did not and we stood at the door of the show waiting to see if they room). They also gave us a room that was different from that requested and paid for, so when i mentioned this, they promised a free upgrade to a junior suite. They instructed us to go pack and they would call us when the room was ready in 1 hour. We waited 1.5 hours then had to leave for our tango show. When we returned, there was a different guy at the front desk that said he knew nothing of the transaction and that all of the suites were now booked. And the fridge did not work. This was the worst service we experienced in all of Argentina!

Room Tip: Do not stay here. The value for what you pay for is very poor.

The NH City hotel is older but nicely renovated the rooms I have seen are nicely done. I have been in a Queen room a Double Queen and a small Suite. All were nicely renovated and spacious enough, after all we were just sleeping here. The bathrooms were large and looked newly remodeled.f
After playing at La Trastienda we would eat and return to the lobby bar, then hopefully get up for breakfast and tour the city.
The breakfast buffet was very good, and all the employees were very nice.
We all had a great time.
The price for rooms was real good
