Great location in terms of convenience - walking distance to many sites and metro stop across the street. Being on a main road in a tourist area there is quite a bit of noise at night so if you are a light sleeper - May not be best choice. Rooms are adequate - nothing wrong, nothing outstanding. Fairly large continental selection for breakfast. Wifi works well in hotel.

Its location is very good close to transport, to most points of interest. People were not as friendly as expected but I arrived late in the night. Good breakfast, clean room, price was good at the time.

The location of Hotel Bristol is the best possible when visiting Buenos Aires. Rooms, breakfast, lobby and staff services are okay, meaning average. The hotel is clean, but somewhat old fashioned, the room rates are moderate.

Its an old hotel. Little issues with higyene but its ok.
If u intend to go to the hotel just to sleep or little rest times between day activities its ok, if ur looking for some comfort and structure, its not ur place.
A little noise from av. 9 de julio as well

Wonderful location in the centre of buenos aires within walking distance of an interesting water front, access to la boca with tango performances in the street. Hotel was adequate, clean with helpful staff. Good transfers to and from airports with very good local guides.

The hotel is situated on the main street and a good landmark is the Obelisk. This I am sorry to say also made sleeping Saturday night a bit difficult, it was very noisy with all police sirens. The good thing that it’s close to shopping and attractions.
The staff was very personal and helpful. The lobby area is quite small and was full in the mornings as guests were waiting for their pick-ups. We stayed in a superior room and it had a comfortable size. The rooms need some refurbishing and are you looking for gym or a cosy lounge this is not the place to stay. The breakfast and breakfast room/bar was OK. It is a week four as it is a bit run-down, but the location and staff make up for that.

My wife would go back, I might not. its not a 4 or 5 star hotel

Pros- great location near stores, teatro colon, all the major streets etc. very good security, two guys on the main door. They also deactivate all the room key cards once a week and you have to renew them for security. they did baggage storage on the checkout day as flights leave at night. generally great staff ( except see note in cons below), good breakfast served buffet style, front desk would give change, most stores in BA wont. also help from front desk on making phone calls etc. , reading maps , rooms have electronic safes.

cons- no coffee makers in rooms, small rooms, double bed is two twins pushed together.
noisy due to being on a street corner location (one street has 20+ traffic lanes).
noisy due to elevators that have large wooden exterior doors that slam with a loud bang, before the automatic interior door closes. elevators also have a loud "ding" when it arrives at each floor . elevators look original (built 1950) wonder why no one turned off the bell since then, it serves no purpose as you see the light in the elevator when it arrives at your floor. also maids for the rooms talk loudly while sitting in their room which is near the elevator.
- about 6 pm one day wife and I had noisy people just outside my room, I found 3 teen age boys and a girt, sitting on the floor near the elevator , had 3 cell phones on floor taking calls, one teen batting a ball with a hockey stick up and down the hall and them all eating food out of take out cartons on the floor. I had initially called the front desk who said they would send someone up to check, after 10 minutes and another 10 minutes I called twice again then went to the front desk and complained, like what room did these kids have? The hall? they had a room door open at the end of the hall and were calling back and forth loudly. Thwy would even call from inside the open elevatot door to their friends down the hall. the night manager at the desk said "well those are the hockey boys from venesula (sp)" what does that mean? . and they would check on it. Our group was going out of the hotel and I told out group leader who spoke perfect Spanish and also talked to the night manager. they told him "we have to catch them making noise, and when we go there, they are quiet". I guess they were, you can see and hear the elevator coming, and the bell dings. in my opinion very poor front desk response, they should have asked/told them to go to their room. or gone up the stairs to check on them.

- plumbing is strange - room as a large bidet (right under the towel rack????) with only about 14 inches between the bidet front and the sink where you stand.
And there is a square open drain in the the floor between the toilet and the bidet that you can see standing water in. when you flush the toilet the water moves around in the drain. we had smells in the bathroom when we left the door shut. I asked the maid about it she seemed aware of the problem and put plastic over the drain and taped it to the floor. sewer gas problem?

Room Tip: nowhere near the elevators. lots of street noise
