El Conquistador Hotel

The only good thing about El Conquistador is their location. The rooms smelled cigarettes, despite it was a non smoking room. We had to leave the window opened to clean the air a little. The breakfast was very poor, with few options. Though it had doble windows, the room was a bit noisy. We tried to move to another room, but the staff wasn´t able to do it. The room is nice and bathroom very good.

I was in Congress in Buenos Aires. The Hotel is a normal hotel. There are best hotels with the same price in Buenos Aires.

The hotel was ok and the staff were pretty helpful and spoke a decent amount of English. The rooms were fairly small and kind of dark since they looked onto the next building which is very close since they don't have to worry about earthquakes. The beds were small and had these weird sheets that wouldn't even cover the whole bed. The maids would leave the windows open after cleaning which would allow an army of mosquitoes to enter the room and eat you alive while you slept. BRING BUGSPRAY.

The location is the main thing I didn't like. It is in the microcentro, which is a convenient jumpoff point for most tourist attractions as well as restaurants/bars, but the district itself is not very nice and even kind of dirty. I didn't feel that it would be a good idea to walk around there at night. Stay in Palermo if you can afford it and you can take subways and cabs everywhere from there (cabs are super cheap in BA).

We thought that this hotel would provide a good value for our 2 room 2-night stay but our experience told us otherwise. We were told that we would have an early check-in with no problem, but we ended up waiting in the lobby for 45 minutes with our jet-lagged family. Be aware that you can hear the alarms in the rooms next to you. The alarm in the empty room next to us went off both nights at midnight and we had to call the front desk and wait for someone to turn it off before we could get back to sleep.

The biggest horror was finding a huge cockroach (as shown in photo) in the bathroom of the room my parents were staying in. We asked the front desk to do something but they only sent a maid to clean it up after we squished it, and said that a report would be written up (so comforting). The next morning at check-out when we insisted that we be somewhat compensated, the manager said that it wasn't his problem - it was the problem of previous day's manager even though he had the report. He said that maybe next time we could have a room upgrade - yeah right, like there's going to be a next time! Terrible response from the management - I can't believe we paid full price to share a room with bugs!

Our family of 5 (3 teenager children) stay in two rooms for 5 days. The location is convenient. Continental breakfast buffet was included. Our rooms were inside so they were quite. One night we had a problem with the excess noise came from the next room around 1:00AM. We called the front desk and they took care of the problem after that. Other than that, our entire stay was pleasurable.

The three of us stayed in the junior suite for 5 days. The promotion package allowed us to check in early and check out late. It worked very well with our flight schedule. We took taxi from/to the airport without any problems. Initially we were not happy about the size (very small) and the condition of the room (need to be updated). But we warmed up to it after a couple days. The location is very convenient. It is close to shopping, restaurants and subte. The hotel has free in-room wifi. The bath room is clean and the beds are comfortable. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. This is more like a 3-star hotel but if you are looking for good location with reasonalbe price, this is a great choice. I found the lowest price through the hotel website.

I've been two times there. The rooms are relative small but clean, the breakfast is on top of building what is nice, but the meal choise is not very rich. Personal is helpful, English speaking.
