Love this place for the location and extremely helpful staff. Rooms can be a little small and airless - would be concerned to stay in summer.

This is a great hotel if you want to be in the center of town and want a great value. You are walking distance from several different restaurants and convenience stores. If you like to work out, I would recommend that you check out Deporte Total, a full service fitness center located 2 blocks from the hotel.

Very good location, nice area of Recoleta. But...carefull, many rooms are too small. Overpriced. I only recomend if you get a low season price.

We stayed in mid January 2012 at this hotel, clean and pleasant, and centrally located in Recoleta. The staff was helpful sometimes, depending on the person, but overall ok. Good breakfast. Easy walking distance of Recoleta cemetary. Medium sized room, not claustrophobic. Would stay there again.

The Hotel Bel Air in Recoleta is a very charming and competently run hotel. After looking at many hotel review web sites this hotel kept coming to the top. I couldn't agree more. The rooms are very nice, a bit small, but in the European style. Everything you expect to be in your room is there, and they are the Buenos Aires moderm style, that like to refer as "art deco", but not quite.

The front desk staff is competent, although even with Spanish language speakers, sometimes there are choices misunderstood. Our late arrival, and special request were well handled. There was only one woman behind the desk that really could act as a concierge, but we did well with their information

The neighborhood is great. All of our needs were fulfilled on the nearby Avenida Santa Fe, and the hotel is about a 20 minute walk to the Cementario Recoleta.

The hotel is a good strong 3-star hotel, and very well run. Always beware of the 21% Argentine VAT tax on hotel stays. This obviously gets added to your daily room rate. It helps to keep this added cost in mind when your booking your hotel.

In general, the hotel sites I visited before booking the Bel Air, including trip advisor, helped me manage my hotel expectations for Buenos Aires

Room Tip: Very few of the "standard" rooms have very good view. I'm afraid you would have to pay...

I could really like this hotel. Tastefully decorated in the classy Recoletta District, a real home away from home..except for the staff. With one or two exceptions, the staff attitudes ranged from indifferent through rude to arrogant. If management can sort out this issue it would truly be a class hotel. So, if you don't mind portering your own luggage while the porter chats to his girlfriend, arguing about room charges you didn't incur and are happy to eat elsewhere, the location and ambience make it worth a try.

We enjoyed staying in this hotel, as it was easy to walk to shops and local restaurants and not far from Avenida 9 de Julio. The breakfast was good. The room wasn't huge, but it was comfortable. There was free wi-fi in the lobby.
