“Chic & Trendy - Superb dining and drinks experience”
Reviewed May 6, 2012

This place is just oozing coolness and chic.....went there for dinner in the Phillipe Stark design restaurant which is quite an exotic dining experience not to be missed in BA. The pool area is beautiful and made me feel I was right in the middle of a cool and chic move set or a pop music video. Highly recommended

Pros:

The coolest and trendiest hotel in South America and reaps the world
Chic pool area for pre dinner drinks
Spectacular white room restaurant
Great location
Price for what you get

Cons:

Service was a little bit slow and inattentive at times

Fantastic hotel in every respect. Nothing can be faulted in terms of service, staff or facilities. Its cool, trendy and loads of celebrities staying there. We had Super Group there with Guns 'n Roses next door to us!

But, if you there over the weekend, be aware that their hotel bar that opens into the pool area will remain open all night if people are there. Rooms 206 (where we stayed at first), 306 and most likely 406 are directly over the pool and bar area. The music stops at 2:30am which is fine, we only got to the room about 2am. However, the drunken patrons continue yelling and laughing well and truly beyond that - and they are permitted to do so until they choose to leave with the bar remaining open all the time. So, go for a room located away from the pool and higher up if you would like some sleep at any time over the weekend. After complaining we were moved to a better room and they didn't charge us for the 1st night. So they dealt with the problem quickly and professionally.
Thanks to Pablo (customer service team) for his help here.

Room Tip: stay away from the lower level poolside rooms. they are noisy even with double glazing.

On a business trip I stayed several days in this excellent hotel in the Puerto Madero. Top design, quiet rooms, good restaurant relaxing bar&pool plus very near by a park that extends right to the Rio de la Plata with a nice running track. It’s an out of the box thinking experience and a good change to the standard business hotel setting that business travelers see all over the word. When checking out, the girl on the counter even gave me a hug to say goodbye. I am sure to come back, next time with my family.

I just spent a week at this beautiful hotel, It was amazing there is not one thing I could pick fault with, the rooms were beautiful the bed was AMAZING, the staff were very friendly and helpful.
It is a little out of the city, sort of like Melbournes dock lands but the cost of the taxi to get across to the other side of the city was about $10 Australian, I dont speak any spanish but had no problem getting around as the locals were all very friendly and its a very safe city to walk around in.
but the hotel you have to see to believe...

Room Tip: standard rooms are beautiful

Puerto Madero is truly an oasis in the city. While there are a number of beautiful and interesting neighborhoods in Buenos Aires, nothing feels quite the same as Puerto Madero. Beautiful and peaceful, yet vibrant at the same time. And within Puerto Madero, one destination stands out as the place to be - The Faena.
I have traveled the world and stayed at some of the most upscale hotels, and can honestly say that the Faena is among the best properties I have visited. It is the perfect balance of luxury and comfort. The attention to detail in the guest rooms, pool area, restaurants and common areas is evident. The property is beautiful to the eyes and it is a joy to sit by the pool or in the Library Lounge - so much so that it is hard to make the decision to leave in order to see the rest of the city! The staff is warm and welcoming while maintaining a high degree of professionalism.
If you are considering this property vs. other luxury properties in Recoleta, in my opinion there is no question The Faena is the superior choice. You can always visit the other hotels while you do your walking tour of Recoleta, but you will be glad you chose to call The Faena home during your stay.

came here for a wedding and spent a total of 4 nites at the faena. one of the best hotels i've had the pleasure of staying at - it's beautiful, stunning architecture and public spaces, service is exceptional. and it smells so good!!
the staff, however, is particularly wonderful - they anticipate your needs and truly go above and beyond from the service at arrival to poolside to breakfast.
wow! is all i can say.

Room Tip: the rooms are very comfortable but might be considered on the small side.

We had a one night layover in BA and, long story short, stumbled in off the streets. Thanks to a lack of research on our part, we were rather blown away by the price! First night of our honeymoon though, jet-lagged and hot, we decided it was worth it. It totally was.

Gorgeous huge bed, beautiful room. Very attentive staff. A bath would have been nice for our situation and the cost, but the amazing spa and steam room made up for it. We didn't get a chance to sample the food or the bar, but the furnishings were very glamorous and ritzy through the entire hotel.

Bottom line, if you can afford it, go for it!
