Our first hotel stay on our 16-day Argentina/Brazil tour and it was a great way to start our trip. Spent 3 nights here and really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful hotel entrance with two spacious lobbies, friendly staff and excellent service. Our room was very nice, with modern design and decor, and looked to be recently renovated. Love the bathroom and separate bathtub and shower stall, along with matching marble floor tile and wall paneling. Complimentary water bottles, hot water pot with assorted tea and instant coffee, slippers, along with bathroom accessories justified a 4-Star hotel rating. A few minor problems; with only two elevators, it became long waits during mid-morning when folks were heading for breakfast, tours, and convention meetings. Then next rush hour was during the evening when folks were heading out for dinner and convention social hour. If you were on the bottom floors, you are out of luck because by the time the elevator showed up on your floor, it was filled to capacity (elevators won't move if exceed maximum weight so you can't squeeze in). Luckily, the double doors to the staff elevator were open so most of the lower level folks used that elevator, until there was a social event of some type on the first floor events center and even the staff elevator was crowded, so had to use the stairs to walk down to the lobby. Avoid the rush hours and you will have no problem with the elevator. Housekeeping was a little inconsistent; there was no tissues in the tissue holder and was not refilled, attendant threw away all the old soap from the sink and the shower stall, but did not replace them, took the used wash towels but didn't replace them, took and replaced one of the bath towels, but left the other hanging on the hook. This was resolved by calling housekeeping and items were timely delivered. All this even after leaving a tip every morning. Guess the attendant was in a hurry, fortunately the room was cleaned, bed made, and the bathroom spotless. Breakfast buffet was fantastic; a variety of hot food options, eggs to order, great assortment of bread and pastries, fruit and milk products. And most important, coffee was hot and fresh. Convenient location, with a shopping mall and food court across the street, a number of restaurants within walking distance, and we even walked to the downtown Plaza de Mayo area using the General San Martin Park and a pedestrian only shopping walkway as rest stops. All in all, a great way to start our two-week trip, and would not hesitate to stay in this hotel again.
