I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in August 2013. I was pleasently surprised with the ambiance, cleanliness and architecture of the hotel. Compared to the other hotels in the areas the hotel was priced pretty reasonably. The hotel had a great location by the Congress in Buenos Aires, central for sightseeing. The hotel was beautiful and had a classy old school feel with lots of ambiance. My hotel room was very comfortable, clean, updated and had a great balcony overlooking Congress. The hotel service was very good and friendly. I agree with Nina there were protests every day while I was there however, the police shut down the protestors every night at 6pm. Also I never heard any protests before 8am in the morning so I was not bothered by the protestors. Drinks were expensive but comparable to large cities like New York and Paris and were very tasty. The breakfast that was included in the price of the hotel was ok but could have been a lot better. All in all, I was pleasently surprised by the cleanliness and atmosphere of the hotel for the price I paid.

I stayed here for a week in July 2013 as part of a large group on business.

Pros:
- Location is ok for getting to different parts of town fairly central so helps to save on taxi fares (which tot up very quickly in Buenos Aires). Recoleta and San Telmo are walking distance for some great restaurants
- The reception desk team are very polite and helpful
- Breakfast has a good amount of choice (in comparison to the other 3 hotels I stayed in during my trip)
- Room size and bathrooms are of a good standard
- Very clean
- Internal decor is very grand
- Lunch and dinners are ok
- Gym

Cons:
- Not sure if its just the region but everything took a long time to happen. A coffee or a round of drinks in the main bar meant waiting 15 mins on average
- Price, rather expensive. Not just the per night price but the bar, wifi (which is free in most other hotels)
- Location, it is a little to close to less desirable parts of town (a person in our group has his back stolen from the lobby and another had a person attempt to mug them on a nearby street), but I'm told this happens every where so just keep your wits about you, no matter where you choose to stay

All in all a comfortable stay. I have rated it 4/5 & very good in comparison to the other hotels and considering the regional differences.

Room Tip: Try not to have a room over looking the road as there are sometimes protests. The atrium is quieter...

The location could be good, but consider a hotel right across the Congress in Buenos Aires..there were manifests every single day, twice or three times a day... the traffic became chaotic, although pacific, it disturbs any trip...specially when they wake you up at 5:30-6 AM in your vacation. The room itself wasn't that bad, besides the king bed, which mattress was definitely old and crooked. Honestly, not a good choice. After 3 nights I changed to another one...the location was not that central, but the price x comfort worth it!

Room Tip: Escape from the street view rooms... the noise is unbearable.

Dear traveler, thank you very much for your comments. We are in a central location near by Corrientes Av. and differents shops and restaurants. Unfortunately Buenos Aires has many demostrations during the week in the city centre and we are not an exception. We regret your stayed with us. We hope to receive you again in your next time in Buenos Aires.

We stayed here in Feb (2013). The hotel is clean and beautiful. The staff were very helpful. The continental breakfast that was more than adequate. Central location near the subway but not many attractions, restaurants or cafes nearby. BA is a very walkable city, metro and taxis cheap so you're not giving up much on location. Definitely worth it.

We stayin at the savoy for the last 4 nights and the hotel is lovely . The breakfast is good. Rooms on the 5 th floor are spacious. Can be a bit noisy due to the traffic outside at night. Staff is friendly n helpful. It is close to the subway station.

We stayed here during our 5 night stay in Buenos Aires.

Pros:
- The hotel staff is the best (shout out to Alejandra and the rest of the gals at the front desk).. They pretty much helped us plan every day, giving us local insight and accurate directions on the map. It was top class concierge service and all our questions were answered.
- The breakfast at the hotel is very good and the staff there as well is very friendly
- The rooms are very classy and modern at the same time
- Housekeeping is prompt, timely and does a great job

Cons:
- The rooms are small but I guess thats part of living in the heart of the city
- Road Noise is very audible - again standard city hotel issues but nothing Savoy can do about.

Room Tip: Higher floors are better to get less road noise.
