We turned up just after 8.00 p.m., their unadvertised but apparent opening time, to find the closed sign still displayed and nothing going on inside. After a few minutes of standing around they let us in.

In the time we were there, there was only one other couple dining, so reservations are probably unnecessary, unless you go at their busiest time, whenever that is.

There were no poppadoms on the menu, our traditional starter and a surprisingly small selection of meals on the main menu. The rice portion for two was also only really big enough for one.

The food we ordered was very tasty and so I have no real complaints, but this was just an average, rather than a special Indian experience. My local Indian restaurant at home is much better.

Maybe I have just been spoiled by the fantastic parrillas and traditional Argentinian restaurants we have dined at elsewhere this week.

A tasty, mid priced meal of average size, but unfortunately no wow factor here.

The restaurant advertises as opening at 8. The hotel called and made reservations for us, although at 8pm in BA you really don't need them. We arrived at 8 and the place was still closed. We could see staff in the restaurant. We considered that maybe they were just running a bit late, so we waited outside. At 10 after 8 husband knocked on door, people inside just stared at us. At 8:15 as we were ready to just leave, someone opened the door. We sat at a table and were ignored for about 10 more minutes. Finally a sweet waitress took our order, after explaining to us that she was a "fill-in" for someone who had called in sick. While she was very nice and incredibly personable, she did not know anything about the food or the restaurant and kept having to leave to go find answers. We ordered drinks and bottled water. About 15 minutes later she reappeared with the drinks.

We ordered our food, more customers arrived. We waited and waited and waited. Finally we saw the waitress again and I was nearly ready to walk at this point. I asked her about the status of our dinner (at this time it was 9pm). She explained that the chef was busy arranging a large event for next year with a travel agency who was bringing in a large group of people and he was tied up on the phone.

Unacceptable.

All in all it was just a really disappointing and overall WEIRD experience. Prior reviews are generally positive, so maybe this was just a "one off" experience, but I was left with a very poor impression of the restaurant. The food was actually quite good when it arrived - however based on our experience, I would not go back nor can I recommend this restaurant. This was just too big of a gaffe for me to trust the place.

A nice place with a great ambiance and tasty food. Its value for money. The place is pretty crowded so make sure you have your reservations. Must try the Fish preparations and they are really good.

They run Indian Songs that adds to the atmosphere. Their complimentary dish is too good. You must try different "Chutneys" or Salsa (as they say in Spanish) which comes along with the dish.

Try their Bread Basket if you are fond of Indian Breads.

Staff is warm and helpful in case you need some help understand the dish :)
