I grew up in Peru so perhaps my standards are too high for this restaurant. The ceviche was good but the lomo saltado was drenched in such a heavy sauce that you couldn't taste the meat. The service was terribly slow, even though there were only a few people in the restaurant. The servers just couldn't be bothered to do their jobs. I wouldn't return.
In addition, getting to the restaurant is a nightmare, traffic is really difficult in that part of the city. Save yourself the trip.

I had dinner and asked for a Pisco Sour Catedral. Bad quality!
Then I asked for octopus carpaccio; it was not fresh! Then I asked for "de bandera" fish; it was ok.
So I paid USD$ 55.00 for a dinner that suppose to be great but it was not good.
I have been at the Rosa Nautica in Lima, Peru several times and that is really an excellent place to go. This one has to change a lot starting with the service. Very poor service.
Is better that you avoid this place!

Thank Andres B

We have eaten at their flagship restaurant in Lima Peru 4 times in the last two years, so we thought we would try lunch at their branch restaurant here in Puerto Madero in Buenos Aires.

Results....nice view of the water and boats and people watching.

Friendly nice service...recommend Carlos our waiter

Menu....substantially different and very slimed down from their Lima Peru parent restaurant.

Frankly we liked the menu in Lima much more than BA. The food in BA was good...but nothing special. We did for old times sake enjoy several Pisco Sours...and they were very good.

Now the "dark side".... Even with the restaurant calling a radio taxi twice ....and finally having one of their waiters go out on the street and try to flag down ax taxi ...it took over ONE HOUR AND TWENTY MINUTES TO GET A TAXI TO LEAVE THE RESTAURANT.

VERDICT....NICE...BUT WE WILL NOT GO BACK. Too many other great restaurants in BA to put up with the taxi hassle.

Sorry we hated this trumped up place. Food okay but it is almost double in town prices and we were scornfully ignored by the rude, Peruvian waiters.
Much, much better on offer in town. Avoid.

Walking down Puerto Madero we decided to step in for a couple of piscos and try the ceviches, i cant say anything about the rest of the food but both piscos and all the ceviches (tried and repeated all of them) where great, the waiter was very nice and after talking with him for a while told us that its a true peruvian and the best in town, he was from Peru and was not showing off his restaurant, it was more of a true comment and i believe him, i recommend it and will come back!
