I stayed at the hotel by chance, booking blind through booking.com. wonderful surprise. Ended up extending for one week and coming back again for another 3 day weekend. The location is great, close to subte and buses. The product is great. Very quiet, clean, good gym, public spaces and the food is very good. Perfect in BUE at a reasonable price. The staff are so friendly and helpful in reception.

Room Tip: the rooms inside the ptios ae more quiet. the 3 rooms on the street are noisy on weeeknds due to the...

In our five nights at Patios, four were in a room facing the street and one was in a Patio room. The difference was noticeable. The rooms facing the street are still lovely but they can't quite block out all the street noise. And on Saturday night, there is plenty of noise.

We mentioned this to hotel staff and they offered to move us without any hesitation. We are pretty relaxed however so did not take them up on the offer until later in our stay. When we finally did move (only because a side trip to Montevideo meant a different room on our return), we were sorry we didn't move earlier! The Patio rooms are spacious, quiet and contain the most deliciously comfortable beds.

As other reviewers have said, all the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and it is nice knowing that there is always someone at the front desk no matter the hour of your return from a big BA night.

Room Tip: Avoid the rooms facing the street (201 to 204). The patio rooms are excellent.

We loved out stay at Patios! The rooms were new and clean, the beds super comfortable and big, the breakfast was amazing - plenty to choose from; fresh fruit, pastries, cakes, bread, cheese, ham and eggs, the location is great but the best thing about this hotel is the staff. Couldn't be more friendly and helpful, would definitely recommend, great value...

We stayed here end of june 2012 and it was truly wonderful. We are a couple who have been travelling since january and wanted somewhere a bit more luxurious than the normal places we have stayed on our travels. Here we certainly got that! The hotel is in a beautiful old building and the architecture and decor is fantastic. The rooms were great and the staff were very helpful! We managed to get the room for a really excellent deal and it ended up being cheaper to stay here than some of the hostels!!! Def check out any deals going for this hotel!!! Breakfast was great and served in their funky deli.

I really loved the area of San Telmo too. Not quite as smart as Palermo but the antiques fair on Sunday was great and their are loads of awesome vintage and antique shops around, good restaurants (try del plata) and tango shows!!

We would highly reccomend here and would definitely go back!!

This hotel is an amazing find. It is on a busy street, but because of the refurbishment with the rooms set back from the road you dont hear any noise. The renovation design is wonderful with a large open air central area with the rooms set off this. The rooms are modern and sleek. The bathroom is small but functional with a shower. There is a window which allows fresh air if you like that during the night.
the breakfast was great and included. it's offered in their cafe and there is good coffee and a good selection of a la carte on week days and buffet on week ends.
It is central to the downtown BA core and close to the metro.
Staff were very helpful with suggesting restaurants and what to do.
Well worth a stay!

This boutique hotel, in the pleasant urban district of San Telmo in Buenos Aires, is new, unique and highly recommended.

Owned by the brothers Neumann – Lucio and Jorge - the establishment spans 3 floors, proffers two dozen rooms, sports a small rooftop sundeck and swimming pool, and houses a funky, roomy café and open plan reception area which serve as the heart of the hotel. A small sports training room is currently being outfitted as well.

The décor and design are the brainchild of Lucio and his wife and son – all three of whom are architects (www.neumann-kohn.com.ar) . Their collective eclectic and well-balanced montage of wide-ranging architectural styles truly set this place apart from other ‘homes away from home’. Perhaps best described as a melding of Asian minimalist and contemporary light and spacious cosmopolitan enhanced with subtle Baroque motifs in wrought iron and just a touch of agrarian natural sculpture, the overall impression of the place can be called ‘clean-feel’.
Reasonably priced and blessed with a well-trained, gracious 24-hour staff, Patios de San Telmo is the place to headquarter (the Wifi signal is strong and steady) in Buenos Aires, whether on business or at play.

Perhaps the favorite activity to enjoy at Patios is the freshly prepared breakfast which is included in the room price. The menu is diverse, and those with a robust morning appetite can order at will from the many select breakfasts – the highlight being freshly-squeezed orange juice in great abundance!

Hats off and an appreciative salute to the Neumann’s; they certainly have a created a very special place to stay.

We were absolutely delighted with this hotel from the moment we arrived. The building is beautiful with a nice mix of San Telmo antique and contemporary polish. Our rooms were lovely and comfortable. the staff were helpful and friendly. We could not fault it! i have been travelling to Buenos Aires on business at least once a year for the last 9 years and this was probably my best hotel choice. San Telmo is very convenient and has a good selection of restaurants. Highly recommended
