Lots of good restaurants within easy walking distances. Walking all over BA required careful examination of the sidewalks which were in horrible condition excepted in RECOLETA.

Nice area to walk around. It felt safe. They had a market while we were there that didn't sell that usual tourist goods like tango paintings and nativity sets. Walked out with a very cool purse. Lots of clothing shops that real people can actually afford to shop at. I was tempted, but out of room in my backpack.

Palermo Soho was calmer, and cooler, than the downtown. It's pace was less hectic, but it had so much to see and do (restaurants and shops). The streets are tree-lined, the shopping is excellent.
