“Great Price, Fantastic Service & Phenominal Meal”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 1, 2013

My husband and I are in B.A. on vacation for a month staying in Recoleta - the prices have been high to eat out, for ' ok' food.
We stumbled upon Parrilla sunday night looking for a good piece of meat, healthy meal and good atmosphere..they had it all, including great service!!!!

We had the special - we had salad with both our meals as the side and for the first time in BA had a real vegetable salad - the server cuts it up and prepares it in front of you.

Included for 98 peso's is a drink (wine or beer, or water or soda) meal, side, coffee or dessert -we had the coffee (espresso) and were treated with a small dessert with it.

The weighter was kind enough to ensure we understood each thing we ordered, and the bread and spreads were awesome - that was our dessert!! :)

“Conveniently located - neither the best nor the worst”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 9, 2012

Aires Criollos is located directly on AVenida Santa Fe, which means if you've been walking up & down looking for affordable shopping (which you won't), you'll eventually pass by a couple of times. Eventually, hungry for some meat and tired of the massive tumult of one of Buenos Aires' main thouroughfares, you'll be tempted to step inside this pleasantly decorated, air-conditioned and quiet Parilla. The decoration and style are somewhat upper-class, although walking in at lunchtime in streetwear is obviously fine, the welcome though not effusive, is efficient and sufficiently welcoming. The food is decent though nothing to rave about. If this is your first meat experience in BsAs then you won't be disappointed. If, however, you've been around a bit already, you may find it only average. We found the prices to be OK - standard value for money, though once again, not amazingly good. As nearly everywhere, "jugoso" meat (i.e., rare), is not: their definition of rare would be a "medium". So if you like your meat bloody, then ask for nearly raw... Overall, this is a decent place to go if you're looking for a somewhat higher-than-average downtown lunch or dinner place, but don't go out of your way to find it. Oh, and needless to say, don't bother sitting outside for eating, you'll be consuming more exhaust fumes than anything else.

“Best restaurant of our trip”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 27, 2012

My husband and I took a short trip to Argentina and this was the best restaurant we ate at. We came here for lunch the day of our departure. A ribeye, side, glass of wine, and dessert for 98 pesos was phenomenal. The ribeye was so good. The restaurant was well decorated and the service was great. It was slow as it was lunch time, but there was an Argentine family eating there as well which I consider a true test of authenticity if locals still eat there also. I would definitely go back again.

“wonderful food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 14, 2012

This is exactly the sort of restaurant we like, nice and healthy food in a very pleasent environment. We were dying to eat a good piece of "bife" and that is exactly what we had, absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked juicy and red. We had the provolone a la parrilla which was wonderful and chinchulines with a very nice mixed salad. Pear with wine and ice cream finished the meal. We are sad that we live 14 hours away , otherwise we will be visiting regularly. One cannot go wrong when a restaurant is full of locals. Service was fine, if rather slow at times but you cannot fault this place. It was very good value. Why people insist in paying astronomical bills just because it is in fashion is beside me. This place would satisfy everybody.

“Great food and excellent service.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 29, 2012 via mobile

Was looking for a place to eat on a Sunday night and stumbles across this parrilla. Very nice interior and the service was attentive yet not overbearing.

My friend and I ordered the la parrillada for 2 which consisted of a variety of meats. Don't order if you do not like offal but if you do then definitely get it. The food was a little bit salty but other than that it was cooked very well. Everything was tender and juicy. No dryness at all. Great flavor in he meat.

Just a FYI, the platter for two is a lot of food. I would say it would be perfect for 3 people.

Wine was good and overall the price was not too expensive. We had the platter for two with fries and a $72 bottle of malbec and a bottle of water which came to $375 pesos for two after 10% tip.
