“Award winner”
Reviewed December 7, 2013

After staying in this hotel for three nights, I can see why it is a Trip Advisor Award winner. This was an excellent choice for our stay in Buenos Aires. Everything about the hotel was great but special mention has to go to the desk staff who provide an excellent service in excellent English in my case. The hotel is very modern and the football theme is an interesting novelty. It's location is on a bit of a side street, but the area is fine with a modern Intercontinental Plaza across the street. The subway station is two blocks away and it is easy to walk to most places in the centre of Buenos Aires.

I stayed here last week for a few days and I am throughly impressed with the hotel. The rooms are well appointed with FREE high speed wifi and have a stocked minibar though the Water is extremely expensive. They have a Nespresso machine in the room, though not complimentary. I wish they had sugar and creamers to go with it.
Breakfast is included and has a good array of pastries, fruit, ham and cheese and hot options of Eggs and Bacon as well as coffee, tea and juices. My favorite was the Dulce De leche pastry cookies, delicious. One night I decided to order in and the burger and fries were good, though no Ketchup was served? But the desserts are to die for, the Dulce De Leche ice-cream is amazing!
The Gym is well equipped and there is a nice pool area too. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely be returning to this hotel.

We only stayed here one night as part of a group. Hotel had an industrial feel to it although both clean and comfortable. It was a little away from the main tourist area opposite the Intercontinental Hotel
Room was quite large and clean. Breakfast was barely average.

Great hotel if you are a fan of Boca Juniors football club

Did not research this hotel very well. We got a good price for a very nice room. Nice interior design. Quiet and clean rooms. Staff is very helpful. Negatives were no Business Center or desk /table in room. Breakfast was just ok. No places to eat or drink around the hotel. Must take a taxi. The neighborhood was a little scary walking around at night.

Hotel is very nice with well appointed sizeable rooms. Price is great (we are here now at $83 a night). Room is large, clean, has free wifi, and flat screen tv. Free breakfast is a little lacking but there is enough to find a few things to enjoy. Only real negative is that the area is dead at night. No open stores after 10.... It is a good location as far as closeness to many major tourist sites. Can walk to Casa Rosada, Congresso, Obelisco and it is a block from the Subte (subway). Also a couple blocks from Avenue de Mayo but there are not that many places around to choose from to eat at night. Exchanging dollars at blue market rate makes things quite cheap (current exchange rate is 5.8 pesos per $ at official rate and 9.7 pesos per dollar at blue market rate; just walk along Calle Florida to exchange $ for pesos at blue market rate). Cabs are fairly cheap also and can get to many areas for just a few dollars (in pesos). Probably would not stay here again but only because of the location's lack of evening places.

I wanted to tick a rating somewhere between Average and Very Good. There is a lot to like about this hotel: its ultra modern design, good gym, large rooms, WiFi included, and friendly, efficient and helpful reception staff. But some things let it down: despite the room size there is no desk or flat surface to use a laptop, there is only one spare power point in the room, the toiletries are basic - no tissues provided, the breakfast is also basic with waiting staff hard to find.
That said I has a pleasant five nights here. I booked with hotels.com and got a bargain I think, with breakfast included. The area is a bit of a way from the tourist spots but still walking distance to most things and cabs are very inexpensive.
The soccer theme is well done even if you are not a fan. I liked the footballer murals on the room doors even though I have no idea who they were. If you get a good price and enjoy walking, it's a good place to stay.

Stayed at the Boca in August for three nights. It is across from the Hotel Intercontinental, in a not-so touristy area. Room was large, nice bath-spacious. Almost an industrial feel to the hotel. It wasn't the cleanest, quite dusty with woolen blankets on bed. Service was ok, nothing special.

Location is fair. If you like the Boca Juniors, I'm sure you'll like this hotel. For others, look elsewhere.
