“Looking for fish? Here's your choice”
Reviewed November 15, 2013 via mobile

It's a very good restaurant in a very nice area. The environment maybe is not the best, but the food is good, creative receipts and fresh ingredients. Prices are not cheap, but when you want quality, you have to pay it. I repeat this restaurant every month and I have never been disappointed. Not for a special occasion, but a good choice for a sea dinner :)

“Fishy fun and winter sun”
Reviewed July 28, 2013

Went to La Pescadorita today, actually on the way to Chipper. We diverted as the food looked so good. Totally lived up to expectations and the seafood parrillada at 240 pesos, included an abundance of prawns, a juicy salmon fillet, chipirones, scallops, white fish and a luscious fat octopus tentacle. More than enough for two and washed down with a delicious Rutini Chardonnay at 150 pesos. And we sat in the sun. Heaven. Will write more about it on my blog, The 5th Floor, B&B, Buenos Aires.

“Good service, average food”
Reviewed April 2, 2013

The title says it all. We were looking for a break from meat and went to this fish restaurant for dinner. The staff was very accommodating; the food was average at best.

“these guys should stick to dead Cow....”
Reviewed January 27, 2013

The owners of this place made their name with La Dorita, where dead Cow is the main gig. Their new seafod "clone" just barely gets average marks. Very little to none of the seafood is fresh... yes, this is hard in Buenos Aires but they could get the stuff if they upgraded their suppliers. Service and ambiance are acceptable. If you want to have fish in this town, there are other better options.

“Wish I could give it four stars”
Reviewed June 3, 2012

But the whole experience was fairly mediocre. I made reservations, but they tried to sit us in a practically empty restaurant at a table right next to a loquacious fellow American (we arrived early at 9:30pm on a Sat to give an idea when Argentines eat). Reworked it to another table, but was essentially ignored by the wait staff for a long time. Tried one by a window but that had a reservation. But I made a reservation. Yes, but not at that table, at one right next to someone else despite the glut of empty tables. I asked for an English menu for my friend three times before they brought it; the staff were busy chatting among themselves. This is my fourth time at this restaurant and this type of service is typical. But how's the food?

It used to be fairly good, at least for Buenos Aires. But my catch of the day (mero) was far overcooked and their attempt at sole meuniere was feeble. It had no butter (or any sauce) and was overcooked and underseasoned. She had seafood "risotto," but actually just rice cooked with previously frozen seafood and very light on the saffron. They took off all the inexpensive bottles of wine from the menu; the cheapest were USD 20, pricey by Argentine standards.

In short, disappointing experience and, since this restaurant opened, it feels like it's going downhill. It was, at least in the beginning, quite good, but do not recommend it based on my last dining experience. Stick with the Peruvian places. They're expensive, but they know how to cook fish, unlike this place.
