Owner description: Our tours will show you the biggest murals in neighborhoods that aren’t in the tourist guidebooks. See huge murals by international street artists like Blu, Fintan Magee, Alice Pasquini, Martin Ron and Alfredo Segatori. Having organized more than 100 murals around the city, BA Street Art takes an active role in the community and supporting the local graffiti and street art scene. Our expert tour guides hope to offer you an unforgettable experience discovering new parts of the city, learning about the artists, the stories behind their artworks, explaining how murals are used to combat vandalism, the connection between public art, politics and history, and different techniques of painting. For fans of photography it's also a great chance to document some of the best street art in the world.

It is well known that Buenos Aires has produced many great artists, especially in literature, music and the film industry but it is fascinating to find out that nowadays the talent of many "porteños" is producing not just very fine street art but also an exciting point of encounter and opportunities for many international artists. Moreover, I guess I am not the only one who had the idea that Argentines were rather sensitive to art and innovative forms of expression and such an idea has been gratefully confirmed by those citizens (and I believe even some local authorities) who are embracing and supporting the effort and amazing creations of street artists.

In addition, the art street scene provides perfect evidence on how blurry the line is between street culture and art as most people think about it.

The tour is great and one of the activities a tourist should not miss in Argentina. Finally, the tour guide is excellent and someone who can teach you many interesting things.

The tour had a great pace, Matt paid attention to everyone in the group of about 10 people. The information was relevant and pointers and insights to the street art movement in the world and BA most instructive. Definetely a high 5 star rating. Check his tour out.

My husband and I did a private walking tour with Matt right before Christmas. We had a great time walking around some of the BA neighborhoods and Matt was very knowledgeable about the artists, the street art scene and where to go. He came prepared with sun screen and bug spray, which neither of us thought of bringing. What was really great is that Matt was flexible with his timing given that we had to change the time of our tour due to airline delays.
Overall, we enjoyed the walking tour. Perhaps the only thing we would have changed is that we would have liked to see more street art/murals and less graffiti, however, this just can't be controlled all the time!
We saw some amazing murals and we did love our tour. If you are not an avid street art fan, I would say do a regular, shorter group tour over the private, 3hr long tour. We loved it, but it's not for everyone!

We wanted to visit areas of Buenos Aires that is more off-beat and found this tour on Tripadvisor and it was a great find. Matt, our guide, was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the BA street art scene. In our close to 3-hour walking tour, we've seen many different types of street art and heard about the subculture. It's also interesting to hear about the individual artists, the commercialization of street art, the vandalism and enforcement, and well, the aerosol vs. paint debates. We even saw some art from our hometown artists! It is a very informative tour and while I am probably no closer at being able to tell between the painting styles, I know a bit more about this somewhat controversial art form. Just remember to bring bug spray (luckily Matt had some) and sunscreen.

If you are looking for something different to do in this massive city, take a look at BA Street Arts Walking Tour. Matt keeps a blog that has more information about the scene and the artists.
