I have only good things to say about our dining experience at Balthazar. We were welcomed upon entering into the high ceiling, nicely decorative restaurant, given our choice of seating and attended well throughout the meal. I knew it was a good sign when the bread basket arrived with fresh, warm, varied types of breads and a dip. The menu has many options that include salads, pasta, fish, meat, pork, chicken and other traditional Argentine choices. We started by sharing a rich grilled Provoleta, Balthazar style which included bacon and portobello mushrooms. It was wonderfully aromatic and quite tasty. I chose pink salmon upon scalloped potatoes for my entree and it was excellent but I couldn't finish it having been too tempted by the bread basket and already satisfied by the grilled Provoleta. My companion chose the Bife de Chorizo and it was a good size, quality piece of meat. There was a good selection of wines at reasonable prices and we chose a San Felicien blend and were happy with it. I would like to go back to dine on the upstairs terrace which is only open on the weekends.
