“Exquisite balance of flavours in a cozy atmosphere”
Reviewed January 13, 2014

A great experience to share with your couple. Really recommend to book a table as it is not very big, unless you go early (argentinians usually have dinner after 9h30 pm). Great starters and magnificent main dishes, you may either take a complete menu (they offer an interesting discount in this case) or even share a small variety of dishes if you cannot visit meny times. They offer a rather good list of Argentine wines, starting from very good ones. They could even offer some lower priced with good quality-price ratio as something to take into account, as the price of such a good wine usually raises the final bill. We have seen some people in other tables just having water or beer, which is not the perfect match for their high quality food and ambiance. We will surelly visit again as we had a great dinner, in a warm and quiet place, with nice and efficient waiters. A funny detail some may not have noticed: one of the waiters was bare feet. Amazing, isn't it??

“Nice atmosphere, good food, but not out of this world”
Reviewed October 22, 2013 via mobile

Ask to sit on the roof, for a really nice ambiance. The food was innovative, not typical argentine fair. It was good but not incredible. If you have a long stay in BA and are looking for something to break up the Parilla- madness, this could be a good choice. But wouldn't rush here if you only have a few days in the city.

This was one of the first real restaurant-like experiences in Argentina. The atmosphere as well as the service and especially the food was all perfect and refined. This is without doubt the best restaurant we've visited in Argentina. We both took the menu completo (which gives a 20-30% discount on the entire bill). Starters were a perfect mixed salad and an amazing pumpkin soup (really, had no idea pumpkin and mint go together!). As main dish we both took the heavy, large but greatly flavoured bife de chorizo. The desert consisted of a sorbet with apple, fennel and parsley (again, a flavourbomb, a truly amazing combination) and a dulce de leche ice cream. The entire meal, including wine set us back for 400pesos, which is really great value for such a tasty experience.

A great last night on our trip through Argentina. Would recommend this to anyone who appreciates food!

“Amazing food, wonderful service, at a great price”
Reviewed August 10, 2013 via mobile

We were in Buenos Aires for 3 nights of our honeymoon and LOVED it here so much we ate here twice! The area it's in is pretty sparse so wouldn't arrive until they open at 8:30pm. The restaurant is pretty empty a this time and its easy to get a table early. The decor is nice but nothing that special. However the food was delicious!!!!!!!! Things we ate...

Bread basket- 3 kinds of breads including a sugar crusted corn bread-like item which was sooooo good. They also give you a pumpkin purée and hummus/eggplant dip to go with it, yum!

Grilled calamari appetizer- extremely tender with smokey delicious flavor

Pear, prosciutto, arugula crudo- wasn't much to look at so I wasn't too impressed when the dish arrived with just the 3 items on the plate drizzled in olive oil and pepper. However it was REALLY good. The quality of ingredients was excellent. It was light and flavorful and probably my favorite appetizer we had

Salad- a pretty typical salad you would get in the US, done well with fresh lettuce and light dressing. Had peanuts which we really enjoyed too

Ceviche- we didn't like this one much, the fish tasted like it was cooked too much?

Bife de chorizo- my husband had this both nights but cooked in 2 different styles. The portion was humongous but it was so delicious he basically licked his plate both nights! Cooked perfectly and had a great smokey flavor. The first night he got the side with the cheese covered leeks which we thought was okay but not really to our taste. The second night he got the charred tomato which was really really yummy

Seafood pasta- sooooo delicious. Homemade pasta cooked perfectly al dente. Sitting in a rich tomato broth which teeming with seafood flavors. And there was so so much seafood, like twice as much mussels and clams as there was pasta. I really loved this one

Dulce de leche ice cream- delicious flavor and light in texture

They also have a 3 wine tasting for 75 pesos which is a great deal. They pick the wines and they were all terrific. We ordered 1 tasting to share between the two of us and they graciously brought us each glasses for 'half tasting' but were so nice they basically gave us each whole tastings.

One of the walls of the kitchen is glass so you can also watch them work which was really fun.

Last but not least we have to give a shout out to our AMAZING AMAZING waiter Max who just made our entire experience so wonderful. He was so warm and friendly and really just made us feel like we were in his own home just hanging out on our honeymoon. Nicest guy ever! We love you Max!

The restaurant was beautiful, waiter very friendly and helpful, and meal and wine delicious. As other reviews have mentioned, the pumpkin soup with mint sorbet and dulce de leche ice cream were fantastic! I would love to go again next time I am in Buenos Aires
