“I already miss the house”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 9, 2012

Alejandro was very hospitable and respectful. He respected my quiet time, and at the same time, very attentive to my needs. He offered any sorts of helpful information about the neighborhood so I could fully enjoy the life of Buenos Aires. I lived in a beautiful traditional building with security and privacy. He kindly invited me to go to milongas together with his local friends. He also invited the house guests to a home dinner party. The house is only a couple of blocks away from the gorgeous Congreso building. It is in a very convenient location for tango dancers as well. El Beso and Porteno y Bailarin are in a walking distance! Oh, and NeoTango and Tango Leike are even closer! I was there very comfortably for a month. It will become your home in Buenos Aires.

What a lovely, classy, cozy space... great location and awesome, friendly atmosphere. Great place to wrap up a day at such an amazing city but also to hang our with the friendliest people during the day. Excellent host. Loved the air conditioning too... The place smells of tango ... so easy to get to milongas from there. Cannot wait to go back. Thank you Alejandro Gee for hosting us so dearly. I envision lots of success.. and many more great times at Tango Angelitos... See you in a couple of months...!!

lovely historical building with great interior details (almost feels like you are going back into time). Located in heart of Congress area, I think it is the most convenience location whether you are a tango dancer who want to walk to most of the milongas, or a traveler who want to get around to different areas easily.

The host is very helpful and friendly. It was my first time going to BsAs and he gave me a lot of advice on where to go and what to do to experience the local culture.

Highly recommend!

Casa Tango Angelitos is in a very atmospheric old building near Congreso that gives you a real taste of Old Buenos Aires. The owner, Alejandro, teaches tango in two gorgeous salons in the front of the house (high ceilings, balconies, parquet floors) and knows all the authentic milongas - take his advice and go wherever he suggests! He is a local and knows what milongas are best on what nights, and he will guide you to where the locals go. That's where you want to be to see real tango. Besides tango lessons, CTE rents rooms to tango lovers and tourists -they are large and comfortable and the other guests were very congenial and made for quite an international mix. We are American and stayed with an Austrian, a German and an Italian ... all lovely company. Groceries and bakeries are nearby (although cafes are cheap in BA - go to El Espanol) and there is a communal kitchen - we ended up gathering around the table many late nights gabbing over bottles of wine. It was a blast and made our trip so much fun. Alejandro is a native of Buenos Aires (who also speaks English; he lived in the States for 11 years.) He loves his city and was an amazing, congenial host and fabulous dancer who held wonderful parties and introduced us to his American expat friends. We had great times eating and drinking together and staying out dancing til all hours of the night. CTE is gorgeous and romantic and totally sold me on BA. I think about my stay there all the time and cannot wait to get back in December (their summer.) Alejandro introduced us to BA through the eyes of a local and became a friend for life. Bottom line, I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Casa Tango Angelitos was a wonderful, charming, authentic place to stay. Alejandro was the nicest host--both professional and welcoming, but also interested in getting to know us personally. Location was also fantastic (located a few blocks from Congreso, and within walking distance of Recoleta). Located in a safe area of the city, with a few charming cafes close by. Also, the atmosphere was made fun, yet respectful, by meeting fellow guests, most of whom were tango enthusiasts (unlike ourselves). To top it off, there are 2 beautiful hardwood-floored rooms where Alejandro (patiently) gave us our lesson. I highly recommend learning from him as he keeps instruction simple, yet still manages to communicate the passion, love, history, and tradition of tango in a manner that is contagious.

Staying here puts you in center stage B.A. Host is fluent in English, helpful and the rooms are clean. You can take Tango lessons on site and walk to great food and shops. A real B.A. experience.

I recommended Casa Tango Angelitos to my friend Vivien when she arrived in Buenos Aires and she stayed there for over a month and loved it. I have attended three going away parties there and they have all been fantastic. If you are going to Buenos Aires, Casa Tango Angelitos is an incredible place to stay. Alejandro is the perfect host and the people that stay there instantly become like one big happy family. Even if you are not a Tango dancer, you will feel welcome and can learn to dance and speak Castellano at your leisure. Hanging out with Alejandro at the Milongas makes you feel like a Porteno.
