“Beautiful hotel in a peaceful, yet elegant area.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 9, 2013 via mobile

This hotel is located in Soho, a quaint little town around twenty minutes from the downtown of Buenos Aires, 9 de Julio Av. The staff is very helpful, friendly, and nice. They help plan tours, book taxis, and help with directions to any place you want to see. The rooms are gorgeous with a view of the permanent residents surrounding the building. Each room has over 100 channels of satellite television in both Spanish and English. The room also has a mini fridge and a cook top if you want to cook your own food. The hotel offers a gym and barbecue that can be used by any of the guests. This swanky boutique hotel is worth price per night.

My friend and I had he pleasure of staying at Palermo Place. I had reservations about staying in a boutique hotel since I am accustomed to large chains for business travel. Well, I may have to rethink my overall travel strategy after this experience because it simply rocked. The staff was so responsive to us prior to our arrival that I felt I knew them when I arrived. They arranged Taxi Manuel service to transport us to the hotel from EZE. I highly recommend this option as it was very personalized, safe, and reasonably priced. On arrival, we were showed to our room and were very impressed. The decor is simple yet elegant with a very clean feel. Storage is abundant.
We enjoyed the in room coffee maker and fridge which we used to stock our own goodies from the little mini mart across the street. Sure beats expensive mini bars in hotels.
The gym was small but well equipped and we loved the roof top terrace.
The staff gave us great tips for shopping in soho, Florida street, restaurants, and site seeing.
We felt right at home all of the time and it was just a great pleasure to arrive from a day out.
I am not sure I can quite explain it but the hotel has a very special feel to it, of which the staff are a major part.
The breakfast system was also very interesting in a good way. They do not serve breakfast on site but instead provide you with vouchers that you can use at a number of the local spots/cafes on the street. This was actually a real positive as we were able to enjoy a number of different spots and get a good sense of Argentine cafe culture. We enjoyed Pani the most, the pastries and coffee were to die for.
I cannot recommend the hotel enough.

Room Tip: We had room 201. We loved it as there was no real street noise, nice view of the street and we were...

You can get more amenities in the big hotels in the Centre, but unless you're travelling for business, it's definitely worth it to try the smaller places in Palermo - and Palermo Place was well worth it!! From the hotel you can walk to an infinite number of restaurants, cafes and shops. If you prefer, you can walk to the corner and hail a taxi at almost any time of the day or night. The rooms are not very large, but well designed with a full kitchenette and ample storage. However, the best thing about Palermo Place is the outstanding staff. They were friendly, informative, and helpful. Isabel, Valeria, Herman - were some of the front desk staff who were always anxious to help - and they all spoke English. We did an excursion to the south of Argentina for a few days, and they happily stored the bulk of our luggage free of charge until we returned. Instead of breakfast in the hotel, they give vouchers, that give you a choice to dine in one of several nearby cafes - great for variety.

Palermo Place was a wonderful find. I have done a lot of traveling and this ranks towards the top
as far as comfort, amenities, and friendliness of the staff. It is located in the best part of the city
and is convenient for any activities you may choose to due. The rooms are extremely well thought
out with some kitchen appliances if you choose to due some cooking, microwave, refrigerator,
and we had the most comfortable king size bed, and they have the best coffee. The staff spoke
excellent English, and were helpful, knowledgable, and courteous in helping plan our activities
from restaurant's to discovering the city. I highly recommend Palermo Place, for anyone looking
to make there stay in Buenos Aires a truly enjoyable and comfortable experience!

Room Tip: I do not know if all the rooms have good views, but ours was excellent, so I would ask for a room w...

All-in-all we had a very enjoyable stay in Palermo Place.
This was my first trip back to Buenos Aires since 1999 - so many things have changed. I am very happy that we chose to reside in the Palermo part of the city, as downtown would have been too busy for us. Palermo Hollywood - as the part of town is called, where this hotel is located - takes a second look to reveal its full charm. Frankly, many of the buildings are full of graffiti, the sidewalks are crumbling and there was much trash around - this could have to do with the nearing pick-up day. On our first day, we went looking for the charm of the neighborhood but had some trouble finding it. There are several very nice corner cafés, and restaurants in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, but this was not exactly what we were expecting. The next day, we took the 20 minute walk to Palermo Soho, which is really a very nice part of town, boasting a collection of shops and excellent restaurants - and discovered there full charm of Palermo BA.

The most notable part of our stay in Palermo Place was the excellent staff - who were always helpful and very friendly. The rooms themselves are well thought-out and include a small kitchen. Breakfast is offered via vouchers for nearby cafés - this worked out well for us.

Room Tip: I believe that all rooms are very similar. The ones looking out back are a little more quiet.

This hotel has everything you need. All the way down to the travel friendly electrical sockets. It's also located in the best part of the whole city IMO. We got 2 rooms. One for me and one for my mom and her fiance. Both had nice views. It was perfect.

My first trip to Buenos Aires and lucky to stay in Palermo Place. The quiet location was perfect, along with everything else the hotel had to offer. Let me start off with the bed....omg, the bed was the best! My partner snores, but I never heard him during my stay there. The scented sheets, the compfy pillows and the fluffy blankets made me feel like a queen! Every little details appeared to be taken into account, as far as comfort for the traveler. For example, the switches already had US adapters in them, large daily water bottle in the refrigerator, cook ware, plates, etc., microwave, TV with all the channels.
The gals at the front desk were so friendly and helpful. They were very knowledgeable about the area and made an effort to please. So glad they all spoke English! Their suggestions on restaurants and where to go were right on the money. The hotel is surrounded by wonderful little shops and restaurants within walking distance, which definitely makes a wonderful stay. Example: Oska is the best sushi place I've even eaten at in all my travels. Take a night off of local food and go Asia....but, do stay at Palermo Place! It's a treat!

Room Tip: I did not use the swimming pool on my stay....wish I did, the pool looked amazing!

Hi Ms. Wilows,

Thank you for writing such a wonderful review. We remember you and Mr. Bulchar and appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. We did however want to point out that we do not have a pool. We were a but confused by your review regarding our pool as we do not have a swimming pool on this property. Our outdoor terrace is a wonderful spot that many of our guest love. I any event, we certainly look forward to seeing you once again at Palermo Place or our new Hotel Palermo Tower.
