“A boutique hotel with a huge heart!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 31, 2012

I can’t say enough amazing things about my stay at Palermo Place. It’s a small boutique hotel with a huge heart. The front desk ladies, Florencia and Leticia, always have a big smile and are happy to help in anyway. Before I arrived in Buenos Aires, they booked my Buquebus ferry tickets (because the site was not working for purchasing outside of S America) as well as reserve a safe, comfortable, and affordable airport taxi to pick us up and drive us to the hotel. While in BA, they helped call to make dinner reservations, provided maps, and gave great bus routes for around the city. Our stay in BA just wouldn’t be the same if we hadn’t picked Palermo Place. The rooms are very clean with a small kitchen and most importantly, the beds are comfortable. I would definitely recommend Palermo Place for travellers coming to BA looking for a friendly and comfortable stay in a really cool area (Palermo Hollywood).

Charming boutique hotel in excellent location. Rooms were very well designed for functionality and comfort. My only mini complaint would be to have a make up mirror. Otherwise complete excellence in accommodation.
Service was spectacular, the ladies did everything they could to make sure we has an excellent time. Terrific recommendations from dining to sightseeing. You will not go wrong !!!

The Palermo Place is a lovely small hotel with large rooms and great service.
The hotel is quite narrow but the well-equiped rooms are large. You get a kitchen sink , microwave, kettle, hobs and tonnes of storage.

Breakfast is by way of vouchers - you can choose to redeem them in one of 4 different kitch restaurant nearby - we tried each o0ne and they all had nice food.

The hotel is not far from some lovely bars and restaurant, and within walking distance (20mins) of the tube line.

Also not far from Palermo Soho where alot of the night life is.

There is also a nice roof terrace to watch the sun go down!

Stayed for 4 nights. Great location if you're looking to stay in Palermo, more restaurants near by than you could try in a month, the hotel has a mini kitchen with fridge which is great for take-out and keeping your own juice/beer/wine/cheese. The rooms are a tad small, but well equipped and designed. Service is fantastic and everyone is very willing to help. Not a good place if you're looking for a conventional hotel with room service, restaurant, bar, pool, etc.
Only down side I could find was the thin walls. We could literally hear a conversation in the apartment next door (in the building next door!), and worst of all, we had some Brazilian neighbors in the hotel room next to us, who seemed unable to speak, only yell, and we had to call the front 2 of 4 nights complaining, and couldn't bother the 4th night when they came in at 4 in the morning being very loud. I'm sure we could have moved to another room, but it didn't seem right to have to do this.

Room Tip: A room with quiet neighbors!!

My husband and I stayed here for two nights. After the extremely long, uncomfortable flight from San Francisco, this place was heaven. It's a clean, fully stocked comfortable room. The bed, pillows and towels were fresh and comfy. The room had a toaster, coffee maker. refrigerator and a two burner cooktop w/sink. There was reliable full internet access. Florencia at the front desk went out of her way to provide me with some ice. The hotel was quiet. There was plenty of good restaurants to walk to. Reasonably priced, I think we paid $140.00 per night. Soooo worth it! The gals at the front desk spoke english, which was helpful for me being a non spanish speaker. Loved this place.

Coming off the end of a 3 week tour around Peru, Chile and Argentina, we were pretty weary. The daily struggle of finding where to go, negotiating the subway, taxi drivers with not a single word of English and constantly being hounded by restaurant and leather shop touts on Calle Florida, it can get pretty tiring.

Coming home every night to our luxury accommodation in Palermo Place enabled us to get a decent comfortable sleep and allow us to reset for the next day.

The staff are nothing short of AMAZING. Super super friendly, helpful and entertained our attempts at Spanish while helping us out with their own (perfect) English. Restaurant recommendations, directions, late check out....none of this was a problem and always offered with a smile (something that you'll find rare in BA, most people seem pretty angry most of the time!).

Cable TV with mega channel selection, a channel menu with logos (again, super helpful when you want to find HBO, Fox or Universal etc). We shared some wine we bought in Mendoza in our room. Corkscrew and red wine glasses in the cupboard, again, little touches that enabled us to relax in privacy, making it just 'easier'.

The bed was the most comfortable bed I've had in South America (and we've been staying at some pretty flash hotels), the bathrooms are huge by SA standards and the amenities are quality products.

The area is nice and safe, we partied over in Palermo until 4am and walked home (although we should have probably taken a cab), not once did we feel unsafe or uneasy.

We travel about 40% of the year and have a very open mind when it comes to accommodation, but I can tell you with hand on heart, this place is comparable to the top 5 star hotels in the US at a fraction of the price.

We will make Palermo Place our only choice when staying in BA in the future.

Room Tip: We stayed on the 5th floor, could still hear a little traffic noise, maybe ask to go higher up if yo...

Thank you so much for taking the time to write about your experience. We are so pleased you had a wonderful stay. We also appreciate the comments you make about the staff, the work very hard to make sure each guest feels at home and they strive to make your trip easier and better.

I also appreciate the comments about the details of our hotel and your comparing us to 5 star hotels in the USA. This is quite a compliment.

We thank you for your business and look forward to welcoming you back in the near future.

This small hotel is located in a very quiet, but nice area of Palermo. I observed that the staff has been very nice and helpful and even offered me a bottle of red wine to apologize for having asked me at 3 different times my credit card details.
The rooms are nice and quiet, large, and even offer a brand modern kitchen area.
The gym is small with a few equipments only, which comprise 2 modern treadmill.
The guests can consult the last version of Buenos Aires Time Out magazine in their rooms, even if the latter is not offered and must be left in the room after departure.
On the side of negative aspects, I noted that the vouchers granted to the guests to take breakfast at nearby cafes and bakery, worth 30 pesos, are far from being enough to pay for a full breakfast. For instance at Pani (nearby and very nice), you can hardly pay for a tea and a bakery for that price.
There is no restaurant or room service restaurant inside the hotel.

Room Tip: I advise the guests to take their breakfast at Pani, a cafe located nearby and offering delicious pa...
