We have stayed in Palermo for 5 months this year and have consistently had great experiences.both with the food and the service. I'm sad to see that people had such bad experiences, but in all fairness I have to say we always ask for Marcello, because he gave us great service on our fist visit and we haven not had the waitress. The portions are generous. If you want a suggestion where to start some favorite dishes of ours are the halibut and the saffron shrimp. We are excited to try the chichi sampler that we have seen served. It looks amazing. Like most Argentine places they expect people to dine and the food is not speedy. But if you are in a hurry they will accommodate and have gotten us seated, fed and headed out the door in under 40 minutes when we where in a pinch.
