Is this the same company??

We did the “City Bus Tour” and found it to be a waste ($25 USD). At the very least, it is not geared for English speakers. While the guide would be going on in Spanish, obviously providing very detailed explanations, she would only give a one sentence explanation in broken English, usually after we passed the point of reference: “We just passed the statute of San Martin.” What a waste! Further, although the tour touts going through different neighborhoods, it does so along the same street, quickly passing by. We had already done the same thing in the taxi ride over! The only stops, despite what is said on the website, were the Boca Junior Stadium (10 minutes) and Caminito (20 minutes). The other “stops” are where they leave you at the end of the tour. That’s right, they don’t take you back to your hotel, but leave you in one of 3 areas for you to find your own ride back. Shameful.

The “best” however is when they take your picture and badly photshop them onto some tango and soccer templates. While you are not obligated to buy them for $20 (USD) a piece, they are so bad, that they are almost funny.

Do yourself a favor and do another tour. This one is simply not worth your time or money.

This free city tour takes you around the main historic monuments in Plaza Mayo after a brilliant introduction video. Knowledgeable and enthusiastic students answer all your questions and excellently convey Argentina's recent history to you. After the free tour, an optional tour to three very interesting places is offered, and highly recommended to go in more detail on all the fantastic events that have taken place in Buenos Aires over the last couple of centuries.

I went on the historical tour with Ignacio and Nicolas. They provided fantastic information about the city of Buenos Aires, were really friendly, and very welcoming. Cultour is a great company I would definitely recommend them!

I had got to BA and our tour guide from a trip in Brazil told me to do BA Free Tours. A total waste of my time - annoying girl screaming "Do you LOOOOVVVVE Buenos AAAAAirrrrressss?" No culture or history - just pure rah rah rah!

The next day, I reluctantly tried Cultour Tours. Wonderful! They split the group into English/Spanish and Portugese. Excellent historical overview through to the present with special focus on the Perons. They seemed to make a conscious effort to stay as neutral as possible on political topics - presenting many schools of thought... not just one (as BA Free Tours did). We met at America del Sur hostel in San Telmo, watched a video and then started the tour. I highly recommend this tour!

This was a fantastic way to learn about Argentina's modern history and politics and develop an understanding of modern day Argentina. Can not recommend it highly enough!
