We were so intrigued by this idea of puertas cerradas. This evening did not dissappoint.

We arrived a little early and were escorted through a cute courtyard to the dining area. We were given a page long wine list and awaited our food. We had a meal of shrimp, a vietnamese salad, Pho and pumpkin curry, and then a rice cake with green tea ice cream. Everything was amazing. The curry was so flavorful with pieces of pumpkin that melted in your mouth. The Pho was very good with the additional sauces and homeade siracha sauce. This was one of our favorite meals in Buenos aires!!!

The service at this restaurant is excellent. All the wait staff were really professional and kind and the chef waited on our table as well.

We ate here on a weekend night and it was really busy, and consequently quite loud inside.

They offer vegetarian options which is excellent and I particularly enjoyed my vegetable curry, although I thought the entre and dessert were only OK. My friend had pork as a main which he said was quite tough and not cooked to restaurant quality.

They have a good wine list that is reasonably priced. The best thing about this restaurant is that they cook with flavours that are otherwise hard to come by in Buenos Aires (e.g. lemon grass, thai curry, kaffir lime leaves). By western standards the food is good value for money, but for food in south america it is a little overpriced.

On our parilla tour food tour our guide recommended this puerto cerrado restaurant, which means it is by reservation only and more intimate than your standard restaurant. Each of the courses was great and introduced personally by the chef. A fun experience!

If you want to experience the flavours of southeast Asia, you have to try this restaurant. Only by reservation. It's not an open restaurant, but a house, some kind hidden in "Chacarita" suburbs. Small and cozy, with nice tables outside in a little garden. Specialities from Vietnam, Thailand, Phillipines are a must here, very well prepared by chef Christina Sunae at her home. For anyone who has been in those countries is like a return to those flavors you've felt in the streets. Just consider that even diplomatics from those countries usually visit this place.

It is hardly a secret where this restaurant is, but behind the doors of this family home you are welcomed into a personable atmosphere with delicious food, good wines and charming waiters and chefs! Would certainly recommend.
