“Don't be discouraged by the scruffy exterior and interior: this is a splendid restaurant.”

We were recommended this local "greasy spoon" for a quick snack by staff at the Glu Hotel. It was brilliant. Ignore the scruffy exterior and interior (even the chipped crockery). The service and food are exceptional. We don't speak Spanish, the waitress (a lovely, friendly young lady with a splendid and very large Lion tattoo on her shoulder) didn't speak English and the very limited menu (always a good sign) didn't offer a translation, but no problem; we guessed what things were and were not disappointed. Great grub and excellent value. So impressed we went back the following day, and it was just as good.

I visited F&F on a friends recommendation. The restaurant decor is nothing special and I was not sure what to expect. We selected the 8 Platos menu. Every single course was mind blowing. The lamb soup with egg was the highlight followed closely by the slow cooked lamb. We selected the Lagrima Canela white wine for the first few courses, which was beautiful, followed by a Merlot from Bodega y Cabas Weinert, which we brought with us. I will definitely be coming back.

This soup should be the main dish with grated parmesan. Add Merlutha as the protein, and the after dinner walk will be divine

We went on a Monday which is already a plus as most good restaurants are closed. The place has just the right size, nor too tiny not too large and impersonal. There is a lot of attention to the detail starting with the design of Menu. There were only two persons attending but they were very efficient and super friendly. This place offers three alternatives: degustation step-menus (4, 8 or 12), tapas, and usual individual courses.
We opted for a mix of tapas and main courses. The tapas were really original, both the fish and the 'Novillo' excellent. The selection of wines is a real pleasure with quite unusual ones and covering a wide range of prices.
The deco is minimalistic and charming, in particular the marble counter. Lighting is wisely used, and the whole evening a real delight. We unfortunately didn't have the chance to taste desserts since the servings are quite adequate which is sad as all looked quite yummy. I will definitely add this place to my list of favourites
