Hernán Gipponi's Restaurant in the Fierro Hotel challenges Buenos Aires' best for course after course of delectable fare using fresh, seasonal ingredients. In this great metropolis, this is one venue worthy of comparison with Europe' finest.

“Amazing!!”
Reviewed October 16, 2013 via mobile

Was staying at the hotel and the breakfasts were so beyond amazing that I had to try the dinner. And I was blown away.
Lamb shank cooked to perfection with roast potatoes I could eat forever.
Chocolate desert was fab and came with a pre desert of cheese.
Coffee with homemade chocolates. All served by the 2 Juans who were attentive without being overbearing.
One of the best meals I've had- Buenos Aires is a foodie's dream!

“Incredible food and service from the two Juans”
Reviewed October 15, 2013

Hernan Gipponi capped off our trip with an excellent meal. On a trip which included many incredible meals. The lamb was tasty and tender, Passion Fruit desert was worth a return trip on its own. Juan and Juan provided amazing service and the food was every bit as good as we expected. I can’t wait to return.

“Delicious and beautiful!”
Reviewed October 11, 2013

Everything was delicious and homemade, including sauces and breads, etc.

My husband is allergic to MSG and after talking with them about it, we learned that they don't really use any premade ingredients. He was able to eat everything without any problems, which is unusual for us at restaurants.

The empanadas were wonderful, the steaks were cooked perfectly, the beef heart that we tried was so full of flavor, and even the table bread was excellent. Breakfasts here were also very good.

We had our 15 month old daughter with us, and it was not super kid-friendly (no high chairs or coloring pages, etc), but everyone was very patient and friendly with her. We learned that she does better when we eat in the restaurant's garden, because she can run around a little without bothering other guests.

Presentation of food was beautiful, and we didn't taste anything that we didn't love. We always felt like it was a very good value for the prices. We will definitely be back.

“Love me some HG”
Reviewed October 2, 2013

Buenos Aires is an interesting food town. But one of the best known cats in town is this guy, Mr. Gipponi. HG's one table is a massive, 9 course meal that varies greatly in terms of flavors and offerings. Some of the dishes were almost TOO big in fact, which means big eaters dont need to worry about paying a lot for small portions.

Highlights of our Monday Meal:
1. welcome cocktail--campari, oj and yerba mate gin
2. trout pate
3. steak and burrata salad
2. bacon and chicken terrine
3. crab ravioli with lemon cream sauce
5.. 90% those wines
6. lemon ice cream

Also comes with a wine pairing and the chef's company...like he hung out and ate at the table with us for a while. Definitely worth your time in BA!
