“Ok food nice ambience”

Had a big platter here with bites to share, it was ok but nothing special really. Ambience is good there but think it might had its glory days.

“Appealing to the eye, but not the stomach”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 11, 2012

I've been soooooooooooooooo many times to Lele de Troya and it still amazes me to see how well kept and beautiful the place is. However, the quality of the food has gone down. Last time I went, on a Saturday at lunch, the place was deserted and I can understand why. I ordered a Persian chicken which did not have the right balance between salty and sweet and my fiancee ordered shrimp rice which had a very weird taste. The brusquettas we ordered were extremely salty and we had indigestion for the rest of the day. Still a great place for a drink.

“Unexpected”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 20, 2012 via mobile

Wondering around Plaza Serrano, amongst so many places, we entered Lele de Troya without many expectations.
Everything here is great and as I write this review savoring the plate of several desserts, I can say the only thing better than the food are the desserts.
The waitress suggested a great wine and, depending where you sit, you can watch the cheff working.
From the Cordero and thr salmon to the Raviolli Negro, it was all great.

“Thumbs up all round for good value lunch and romantic dinner”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 5, 2012

We had a good quality set 3 course lunch including a glass of wine or soft drink for 55 pesos.

Incredibly good value for money compared to the restaurants dotted around Plaza Serrano and Plaza Armenia 2 minutes walk from Lele de Troya.

The great value lunch did what it is designed to do and lured us in for a proper dinner a few nights later.

This is an large old house that has been made into a restaurant. Aside from fitting a proper open professional kitchen very few changes are noticeable to the mansion house.

The service is polite and warm though dishes served shightly slow.

It is cosy, warm and romantic without a doubt whichever room you choose to dine in.

I would say personally that the lovely lamb dish prompted this glowing review. In a town where beef rules Lamb is a novelty, especially so to find it cooked well.

“Matisse' red room painting turned into a restaurant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 2, 2012 via mobile

Its an old mansion with each room a different colour, walls, ceiling, furnture, table cloths All in one colour- the entrance room a warm welcoming red, then a larger dining room with open kitchen in yellow, should also be a green room and a garden deeper in. We were there on a quiet sunday so stayed in red zone and were very happy. Great atmosphere, and food so so, but we were spolied by a meal at Tegui the night before, but then the bill at Lelie de troya also tipped in at half the price. If you have ever seen Matisse's red room and blue room paintings you will immediately recognise the inspiration, great restaurant.
